This was a fantastic property about 70km east of Bordeaux, set in the beautiful wine region. A car is a necessity but if you are happy to drive you can easily visit some of the local attractions such as the towns of Saint Emilion, Bergerac and Duras. The property is spacious and contains all the essentials you need for a... More

Visited as we were camping nearby and wanted to have a vineyard tour in English! Kirstie and Paul were very welcoming. The tour was very interesting - even our boys aged 15 and 11 enjoyed it and were asking questions. Then we did the tasting and would have bought more wine if we had had space to bring it back... This B&B in the middle of the Bordeaux region is great. The property is self contained with full kitchen facilities so after a lovely fresh breakfast supplied by the owners you can spend a day exploring the area and then return to your accommodation and have supper in your own time and space. This is a working Vineyard so we... More

We spent 4 lovely nights in the accommodation attached the house where Kirstie, Paul and family live and work. Breakfast was included and it was thoughtfully prepared each morning and left for us to enjoy at leisure. There are two bedrooms, we occupied the room above the living area. It had a comfortable double bed and plenty of space for... More

We visited La Chateau while cycling through the area in October 2014. Kristie's father, Laurie, showed us around the vineyard and explained to us in great detail the winemaking process from vines to bottle. He was so engaging and wonderful to talk to. After our vineyard tour, Paul continued to explain the process in further detail and gave us a... More

Kirstie and Paul and all of their family make sure you are extremely welcome! Accommodation is spotless and comfortable as well as spacious, with everything you need. Suitable for singles (I speak from experience!) couples and families. A bottle of delicious wine was waiting when I arrived along with coffee, milk, tea... what more do you need? I intend going... We spent 6 fantastic nights as two couples in this first rate accomodation. The two bedrooms (with very comfy beds), kitchen, dining room, lounge and bathroom were of a very high standard, with a different delicious breakfast served daily by Kirstie and Paul. Couple that with charming owners, a lovely pool, BBQ and outside area this was a perfect place... More

We stayed at La Chateau for 3 nights last September and had a wonderful stay. We had a little girl and a baby of 9 months. Kirstie went to great lengths to make our stay as comfortable as possible - the accommodation was entirely set up for children/ babies - stair gates, cot, microwave, hand blender, plastic crockery/ cutlery, high...
