I stayed at dijembe for 3 nights and it was one of the highlights of my trip. I was travelling solo and the staff made me feel at home right away (with the amazing free beer bread). The hostel gives an amazing free breakfast, plus wifi and tea and coffee. The reception staff will go out of their way to... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at this backpackers for 3 nights in November, the dorm was really nice, but you could here quite a lot of what was going on down stairs so if you want peace and quiet then either bring some ear plugs or book a private room. But it didn't bother us. The staff were fine for... More

The people are really friendly and help you with any question. From getting pizza, doing activities to booking hostels. It's a really relaxing place. They have awesome pets and I enjoyed every minute there.

had a great time here with the wonderful staff, baz the goat, the dogs and the horses. welcome shots, breakfast pancakes and beer bread: very cosy atmosphere and cool vibe that grows on you. would have gone back for a longer stay and the horse-riding if I had more time!

My first thoughts on this Place were a bit mixed. But in the end this was the best place by far that I visited in South Africa. They have a great pizza/ coffee bar. In town with wifi. We went for an awesome horseback riding trip in the rain with the cutest instructor ever. There is always hot water on... More

Me and my boyfriend just left Dijembe after such an enjoyable three days. There are so many positive things to comment on. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, they all seem so lovely and genuine they manage to give this place a great feel. The whole place is unique and quirky and is a really pleasant place to spend... More

Dijembe is one of those places where you will return to time after time if travelling in the same area. The vibe is incredible, one feels in touch with nature while still having the comfort of clean rooms and very comfortable beds. The staff is really helpful and the owners, Brad and Helena, are certainly some the most friendly people... More

Hi, I would like to say that my husband & I booked for 24 Sept 2014 for 1 night. We were traveling from CPT and we had friends with and they did not book. The staff immediately made a plan for the extra 5. The place is rustic and it feels like I was in nature heaven. Loved the place... More

Certainly one of the most interesting hostels that I have stayed in. Nice relaxed vibe, very helpful and willing staff, very comfortable safari tend and the only hostel that I have stayed in with a goat security guard. Enjoyed pizza, lasagne and a superb braai. Nice just to sit outside around the fire with a beer and some good company.

I arrived to Dijembe on my own and it took me no time at all to meet all sorts of great people. Between the bonfire, the pool table and darts its really easy to spend a cheerful evening in good company. The place is beautiful, the staff is friendly and the food is excellent. Don't forget to go bungee jumping... More
