stayed in Montien for 4 nights and comfortable room and great location for beach and town. Only disappointment was the noise from other guests which if you have a young family this place is not ideal. Also there seemed to be an issue with pump in toilet which constantly made a noise all night for 2 nights and hotel could... More

We knew what we were getting into when we booked at the Montien House. My friends and I (9 of us) were planning a budgeted trip to Koh Samui and the name of this hotel popped up. We had a great vacation on the whole. The rooms are comfortable enough for 2-3 people but I do believe that with a little... More

Been a few times and it's always consistent, nothing special but it has a certain character.... Not great dining, rooms are basic but value for money is not bad at all...certainly not 5 Star but if you're looking for cheap and cheerful then this won't disappoint.... Enjoy !

We stayed at Montien House, Koh Samui, for 4 nights in Jan 2015. Guests are placed in a small bungalow type apartment, which includes a bathroom, bedroom and balcony. The bed is very spacious and comfortable, but the double bed was made from two single beds pushed together. The bathroom could do with an update/deep clean as it became very... More

Hotel is well located if you like to be in the midst of the action. Walk out the front to shops massage and food out the back of the hotel is a small pool the breakfast area and the beach. Rooms are very basic bathrooms are mouldy and definitely not clean there is no hot water so be prepared for... More

We stayed in a bungalow in the lush tropical garden with a veranda. The bungalow was equipped with everything you could want for a holiday. Remember the room is only for sleeping in. After walking through the garden you come to a beautiful sandy beach with the sea to swim in! The buffet breakfast catered for different tastes. The staff... More

Not all that glitters is gold and as Mr Buffet so eloquently said "price is what you pay, value is what you get". This joint we were told was once the toast of Samui, but is now in desperate need of a shake up by Gordon Ramsey. Admittedly we chose the cheapest room but the first day the rail in... More

Some reviewers say this place is not up to scratch. Ignore them. Fist things first, this is Asia and unless you are prepared to pay international prices to stay in an international chain such as the Banyan Tree, then you're going to find a wildly differing standard of accommodation. In Asia, the key things to consider are: are there bugs... More

In general this hotel has a lot of potential to give you a joyful and calming vacation. I was happy to leave this place after 3 nights because the room they gave me was uncomfortable. I have ordered 2 rooms 3 months ago which IMHO should be sufficient for the reception to make sure that they supply us with attached... More

My partner and I stayed in a private villa here for 5 nights in November 2014 and it was assuredly a highlight of our three weeks in Thailand. Firstly, the staff are extremely helpful and so courteous. The rooms are clean and the plunge pool was kept in great condition. In terms of location its in the centre of Chaweng... More
