We stayed here for a few days at the start of March, having previously stayed at Montien approximately 18 monthd ago. Our room was reasonable sized, albeit with not a lot of natural light. The housekeeping clearly don't clean underneath the beds or low couches, because there was a thick coating of dust under there. Probably not an issue for... More

After 4 nights without sleep due to other guests being disrespectful and using the NEW building as a party area in the early hours each morning we requested a room change. We were kindly moved to an older garden room, these rooms, despite being in need of renovation are much more comfortable, quieter and far more relaxing than the new... More

.... needs a bit of work. On the whole it was pretty average really. Rooms are tidy and reasonably sized but they aren't particularly well sound proofed and you can hear everything that happens in the room next door, as well as the music from the bars a few hundred metres down the beach. Breakfast was poor too and after... More

It's very sad to see how the mass influx of tourism this past twenty years has changed Chaweng Beach and Samui forever. Montien House management and staff who are all very pleasant and welcoming do their best to keep the traditional Samui alive but are fighting a losing battle with the constant noise pollution of heavy rave/techno music until the... I followed the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. The place is at the northern end of Chaweng just right before the lound/central part starts. It's off the main round and you're positively surprised what nice and calm world awaits you when entering the resort. I staed in 3 different rooms because it was all fully booked. The... More

stayed in Montien for 4 nights and comfortable room and great location for beach and town. Only disappointment was the noise from other guests which if you have a young family this place is not ideal. Also there seemed to be an issue with pump in toilet which constantly made a noise all night for 2 nights and hotel could... More

We knew what we were getting into when we booked at the Montien House. My friends and I (9 of us) were planning a budgeted trip to Koh Samui and the name of this hotel popped up. We had a great vacation on the whole. The rooms are comfortable enough for 2-3 people but I do believe that with a little... More

Been a few times and it's always consistent, nothing special but it has a certain character.... Not great dining, rooms are basic but value for money is not bad at all...certainly not 5 Star but if you're looking for cheap and cheerful then this won't disappoint.... Enjoy !

We stayed at Montien House, Koh Samui, for 4 nights in Jan 2015. Guests are placed in a small bungalow type apartment, which includes a bathroom, bedroom and balcony. The bed is very spacious and comfortable, but the double bed was made from two single beds pushed together. The bathroom could do with an update/deep clean as it became very... More

Hotel is well located if you like to be in the midst of the action. Walk out the front to shops massage and food out the back of the hotel is a small pool the breakfast area and the beach. Rooms are very basic bathrooms are mouldy and definitely not clean there is no hot water so be prepared for... More
