the positives: - location - swimming pool - short walk to the beach the negatives: - bed sheets had blood stains - bed sheets and quilts were never changed during our entire stay. - old room - rude staff (they have a habit of talking and laughing behind your back as soon as you walk away) - stale breakfast -... The pool is nice, breakfast is reasonable. Rooms are quite old. Clean enough. The staff at reception were not polite or friendly. They were dismissive of us on arrival and unable to help us out with simple requests as we arrived later in the evening and they just wanted to go home. The fireworks on the beach can be quite... The rooms are nice and hotel is in good location. However, the staff were incredibly rude and unwilling to help when it came to booking excursions or bus tickets. They also tried to double charge me an extra night. Also, internet is 100 baht a day.

I always stay here when I visit Chaweng. The hotel is right in the middle of all the action, but still quiet. It has a great saltwater pool. The manager Nawee is very helpful and can sort out anything. Ask him about arranging a pool party with bufet for you and your friends, and you will have the pool area... More

although they offered me a room in 1500 BHT per night, i took out my iphone and showed them that online i can get rooms in 1200 BHT... and after negotiating, i got a room in 1000 BHT: clean, big, well equipped, nice shower and great value for money. will definitely go there back.

If you are looking for a basic hotel in the heart of Chaweng beach in Samui, this is a good solution. If you want a good hotel, with direct access to the beach, in a quite place - this is surly not the one.... We left after only one night because we were on our honeymoon and wanted a better... More

You have two choices of rooms in the main building or a bungalow which is newer. We stayed in room 301 which was great as it had a perfect balcony not too close to the others, each night we could sit outside and have a few drinks looking towards the ocean and see all the lantern going up from the... We stayed here for one night after spending two nights in Ark Bar and not particularly liking it. I think we had the room that was one up from the cheapest. It was a really nice room furnished to a high standard with all the normal facilities you'd expect. The aircon only works when you're in the room which means... More

Last time on Koh Samui as backpacker in 1983 WTF happened to this once beautiful island? What a case for how rampant, uncontrolled development can absolutely change a once naturally beautiful place Anyway, Evergreen offered a slight piece of sanctuary in the alcohol fuelled cacophony that is now Chaweng I guess somewhere along the way, development for alcohol based entertainment... I have stayed at this hotel on two occasions, most recently in February 2013 and before that in August 2011. In 2011, I would have recommended this hotel to anyone: It is very centrally located, the rooms were new/clean and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately it does not seem that this hotel has stayed on top of their maintenance, specifically... More
