My husband and I were fortunate to book and stay at this wonderful hotel in mid-June for three nights after reading previous reviews on Tripadvisor. The hosts, Jose and Marlene, are such a wonderful couple and so welcoming. They excel in every way, always wanting to make their guests stay a memorable experience. Each day, Jose would help guests plan... More

We are here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, we were given a room upgrade. The room was so beautiful inside. The owners also gave us a flower bouquet and candy! They gave us directions, suggestions, practically anything you ask for, they will help. The hotel is super clean, cute, and well located. We loved it! My husband said... More

A beautiful little hotel off the beaten path. Excellent references to local sites and restaurants and sites to see. The hosts made up a local tour for us that was an excellent way to see hidden gems you would otherwise miss. Breakfast above what you typically get at a B&B,

Stayed here for three nights with friends, a brilliant hotel run by a friendly couple who go out of their way to please, highly recommended. The area is brilliant for motorcycling, great roads and not much traffic, the town has a local swimming pool nice to cool down after a hot day. Try it next time you are in Portugal.

Weekend stay with two small children. The house is excellent with all the amenities of a large hotel but adding the friendliness and hospitality of a family run business. The hosts offered assistance with sight seeing and local attractions with suggestions and recommendations as well as reservations. Rooms are very well kept, breakfast is delicious with local flavors and produce.... More

We stayed only one night, but it was really very pleasent. The house was nicely decorated and preserved, in a very country style. The village and environment was also a nice surprise, everyone was really friendly and warm. The breakfast included only fresh home baked ingredients, everything was delicious! We strongly recommend staying in Casa da Farmácia.

We happened upon Casa da Farmacia during a stopover in Armamar and what a surprise it turned out to be. The moment we walked in it was a very warm and friendly welcome. The rooms were very nice with good views and quiet during the night. Jose directed us to a local restaurant specialising in lamb and it was turn... More

Since we got home from our holiday in Porto and Armamar, we have been telling everyone we know about it. The landscape is stunningly beautiful, people were kind to us everywhere we went, and the wines and ports of the region are world-renowned. As an added extra, we found good value in every establishment. But, without question, the icing on... More

Casa da Farmacia was quaint and beautiful. Amazing from start to end. Jose, the owner, was so helpful. He printed out maps of daily excursions for us and gave us all sorts of helpful hints on the way. The rooms are beautiful, but so are the common bar room and common entertainment room which we enjoyed daily upon our return.... More
