The family had stopped off for lunch after visiting the local area. The place was fairly busy although the service was good despite this. Each of us had a different main course, the style is very much pub food although there was a focus on using local produce which was really good to see and the flavour shone through as... More

As soon as you walk into this pub, you sence the friendlyness of the place. We asked for a table for two and was shown to a quiet table in the corner by a lovely young lady. On looking at the menu, it seemed a bit pricey, but when our food came it was good quality and very well cooked,... More

Went for Sunday carvery we had heard how good it was but, I am afraid we were disappointed the roast pork was dry and roast potatoes hard , I can't speak for the rest of the menu but the raspberry and white chocolate cheese cake was nice . Sorry but will not be returning .

We had a ride out into the countryside whilst staying in Weymouth, and chanced upon this Inn. Well-staffed, (note well, not over, or sadly more the case understaffed). Very pleasant staff who greeted you as soon as you came in, loved the decor, but more importantly, the service and food were exceptional. Admittedly not the cheapest, but quality comes at... More

We visited with local friends. The staff gave us a warm welcome and the food was of a high pub standard, not cheap, but overall very fair value for money. Service was prompt given it was quite busy. The only qualification was the puddings which we found out are bought in. The srtawberry pavlova had virtually no strawberries in it.... More

We stopped here by chance as we were staying nearby on holiday and wanted to grab some lunch somewhere. A charming country pub which is well done up in the bar. The food was good pub grub and a good choice for children's meals. The portions for the children were huge and our 5 year old struggled to finish her... More

What a charming place with genuinely nice staff. It's a little rough for if you're traveling through on business (spotty internet and rustic accommodations) but I hope to bring my wife back on holiday. ps: the 9 hole executive golf course is quite challenging.

Booked through Booking.com, price good for B&B one overnight. Room 'tatty' needs update, bathroom poor, shower difficult to use, light over mirror something from 1930's! Bed comfortable, good tea making facilities in the room, good TV with all Sky channels. Restaurant very good, excellent selection of food available , fairly quick service from very nice and friendly staff. Drinks pricey.... More

We spent two nights here in August and used it for Bed, Breakfast and Evening Meal. The staff's customer service was great and the food and variety was very good. As the weather was good we spent a lot of time in the beer garden, which is spacious, well maintained and has things to keep the kids happy. The bedroom... More

Just got home after 3 lovely days staying with you, everything was just right. Our room was spacious and fresh, tele with sky really handy with an 8 year old! Great breakfast, we dined with you every night, great dinner. You staff are lovely, I didn't get any names but from the young lads to the ladies, we felt so... More
