The food here is just fantastic! Have visited 3 times now and would continue to go back The only downside was service was a little slow the last visit but It was on a Sunday (carvery) and very busy, and we had ordered off the menu. The food has always been cooked perfectly and presentation is spot on! The fact... More

We wanted to visit Monkey World for my sons 10th birthday but it was also my husbands 51st plus my parents wanted to come with us so I had to make sure to cater for everyone. So when I found this pub on google I was excited, and we were certainly justified. We rang beforehand to book a table for... More

Went for dinner only. It was as-it-says-on-the-tin(/menu) food, with impressive portion sizes, and good service. The desserts are highly recommended - save room for Dorset apple cake (this could be hard if you order a curry, as the portion was very generous!). Will be back.

I visited with my family, arrived 6pm so not many tables were taken. Ordered our food, weren't told there was a wait, then waited 55 minutes for our meals! I chased our meals but waited didn't seem bothered that we'd had to wait so long and there was no mention of it after that, let alone an apology! Really poor... More

The family had stopped off for lunch after visiting the local area. The place was fairly busy although the service was good despite this. Each of us had a different main course, the style is very much pub food although there was a focus on using local produce which was really good to see and the flavour shone through as... More

As soon as you walk into this pub, you sence the friendlyness of the place. We asked for a table for two and was shown to a quiet table in the corner by a lovely young lady. On looking at the menu, it seemed a bit pricey, but when our food came it was good quality and very well cooked,... More

Went for Sunday carvery we had heard how good it was but, I am afraid we were disappointed the roast pork was dry and roast potatoes hard , I can't speak for the rest of the menu but the raspberry and white chocolate cheese cake was nice . Sorry but will not be returning .

We had a ride out into the countryside whilst staying in Weymouth, and chanced upon this Inn. Well-staffed, (note well, not over, or sadly more the case understaffed). Very pleasant staff who greeted you as soon as you came in, loved the decor, but more importantly, the service and food were exceptional. Admittedly not the cheapest, but quality comes at... More
