Nice hotel that has been converted very sympathetically from an old finca into a modern boutique hotel. Clean lines, fresh feel, minimalistic décor. The bedrooms have old stone floors, whitewashed walls and ceilings, are a bit small with just about enough room for 2 guests with baggage. Décor-wise, the bathrooms appear to have been borrowed from a completely different budget... More

One of my daughters and I spent three nights at La Nube Posada in late December. The charming lady at reception, who also seems to be running the place, was responsive and extremely helpful throughout our stay. Both of our rooms were comfortable, but lacked some of the charm that we expected after walking in the central courtyard. Both the... More

I really don't think you could go wrong staying anywhere in Barichara...it is a great small "colonial" town to relax, unwind and just "experience" - an overnight stay is a must. We were very pleased with the quality of the accommodations (very clean and comfortable) as well as the food (plenty to eat for the breakfasts that are included as... More

I never knew about Assul a beautiful secret getaway despite many trips to Barichara. Owned by La Nube its a beautiful 4 bedroom house with open kitchen fully stocked with everything you need. The garden is beautiful with its own private swimming pool and heated jacuzzi. We had 100% privacy our whole stay and staff only visit when they are... More

The Nube Posada is a small and serene boutique hotel located in one of Colombia’s best preserved colonial towns, Barichara. The décor is simple and modern. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable; the amenities include TVs, WiFi, and fans (air conditioning is not needed here). The rooms open into an inviting courtyard. The food at the hotel is almost... More

We stayed one night in this very elegant hotel. Everything is in the right placed, lovely yard, small marvelous garden. Breakfast was very good. We had also dinner, the food was tasteful but a bit expensive. If we visit Barichara again, we would stay there again

Spent two nights here, in the small and lovely town of Barichara, while touring northeast from Bogota to Bucaramanga, Colombia. La Nube was delightful; you walk in off the street into a spartan but serene courtyard with a small water feature. Staff were helpful and attentive. Breakfasts in open air adjacent to small garden were excellent and hearty, they feed... More

All in all, we found the experience to stay a weekend in La Nube rather disappointing. The rooms are very small and the interior is rather basic. During our stay, we had repeatedly no warm water in the shower. The rooms are usually kept open during the day; the cleaning lady reordered our stuff, putting it in the bag and... More

I stayed here last year on a short side trip from a longer business trip and was amazed by the beauty and serenity of the hotel and the surroundment. You really feel part of the community whilst staying there and it's a perfect starting location for other short trips in the region. The rooms are very authentic and comfortable and... More

The setting, layout and atmosphere of this place is great (and the birds that come to feed at breakfast are worth the stay alone), but some of the 'small print' unfortunately lets the hotel down. These include: 1. For the duration of our stay the water in the shower was never more than warm. 2. The hotel is branded as... More

Thank you very much for your kind commentaries The hotel spa isn´t in the place where you stayed, is actually at five blocks away in a different house that you didn’t visit. The doors can´t never be open when the rooms are occupied, the ones that are without guests should be open all day. One of our policies that are... More
