Comfortable spot at the Zambezi river what's attractive because of the close proximity to the river. The equipment is average Protea style, nothing special to mention. The staff tries to make a good job, but one can feel that this place is one of a few of Protea. Travelling the Caprivi strip there is nothing wrong to stay here for... More

The hotel is fine. The rooms are not bad, beds are comfy and the rooms are overall fine. I had a great view of the Zambezi river and I could sit on the on the bench and read a book while watching the river. On the other hand though, service is EXTREMELY SLOW!!!!!! The service is slow and the staff... More

Brilliantly located on the banks of the Zambezi river the lodge is set in an idyllic location. We travelled as a group and rented the holiday homes V1, V2, V3, V4 etc. The rooms and living area were very spacious, clean and comfortable and easily accommodated our party of 14. Say however, for self catering accommodation they lacked simply mod... More

We stayed here four nights before heading off to Victoria Falls. The place is right in town. A little old but well kept. Spent two hours checking inn because of mix ups and unregistered payment from hotels.com. Apparently it wasn't the first time, and when the receptionist finally got the manager, we were at least assured everything would be sorted... More

Perfect stop on the Zambezi river, bar overlooking the river, hippos swimming ,no crocs spotted. Needs an update, but good sized rooms with good air conditioning, kettle and tea making facilities, fridge in room are a plus.Ideal stop if you want to take a guided tour to Chobe or victoria falls.cant drink the tap water, and management only allow 2 small... I'm very torn. The rooms were very comfortable and the beds were perfect to rest on after a long flight. However, the 5 to 10 minute walk for WiFi was annoying. The service staff are absolutely the worst staff I have ever encountered. A bartender who has never heard of Chevas Regal despite a bottle within her reach is odd.... More

I stayed at Protea hotel Zambezi River over the weekend and I am glad to say that the consistence in there service is excellent. the camping site remains immaculately clean, the bar experience, the clean rooms and the bonding culture of the Caprivi community. drinking from the bar overlooking the might Zambezi river with Hippo's grazing along the river banks.... Was expecting more than I got. Stayed on the night of the 8th July 2014. Food is ok . There is no internet at the rooms and no fridges! Was really surprised because these things are really standard now , and other places where you pay much less offer these. If these can be soughted out , if will be... More
