Our host and his staff made us feel at home in this lush setting. We loved the outdoor breakfasts and enjoyed the sparkling pool, surrounded by flowers and fruit trees. Our room was comfortable, and the on-site restaurant served tasty, fresh food. more

This inn is extraordinary in every way...ambiance,appearance,cleanliness, friendliness of staff. Location is great. The area is close to many great Costa Rica attractions, and the airport. There is no noise, it is very tranquil, pool is great.,grounds are beautiful. Next visit I will stay 2 nights. more

My husband and I stayed here our first night in Costa Rica, rather than driving to Manuel Antonio the first day. The setting was perfect and the views from all around the grounds were spectacular. Our only regret was that we didn't stay here longer and take in the sights of the nearby towns. If you are looking for a... more

If you want a unique experience in an absolutely gorgeous place you should spend a day or two here. Do not come if you are looking for the Hilton. The place is unlike any other other I have ever stayed at. The grounds are incredible. The rooms are fine but different. The breakfast is amazing. The owner is fascinating. Do... more

my fiance and i were trying desperately to plan our wedding there but recieved no support from the person in charge of weddings. we really liked the place and wanted to rent the whole thing out but it would take her weeks to reply to our emails and then she wouldn't even answer the questions we did ask! if you... more

We stayed at this Inn for 1 night before we departed San Jose the next day and I have to say that it's in a league all its own. The Inn is amazing!! The architecture is interesting, aestetically it is beautiful and the grounds are stunning. We stayed in a room with a full size bed that was comfortable and... more

very nice place, we just got back from there, we only stayed one night will stay longer next time. They have no air-conditioning, but the nights are cool so we were OK. The breakfast is fantastic, made by the owner himself. We got there about 1pm and we were hungry however they told us the restaurant would not open before... more

What a great find in a beautiful country. We only stayed one night, but I wish we had stayed for more. This place has soul, which is lacking in the other, more expensive hotels we stayed in. The staff is friendly, and the food was superb. No A/C, but that's part of the real Costa Rica experience. Great wildlife sounds... more

I was so fortunate to find this hotel on tripadvisor. From the moment of our arrival, we were greeted with a friendly smile. I still cant believe the view we had from our room of the coffee and surrounding areas. The pool is fabulous and their onsite restaurant is wonderful too. The very much cater to Americans, so I really... more

Cafetal was our favorite hotel of the 4 we visited during our recent Costa Rica trip. We stayed in the bungalow for 1 night. It was spacious and new and clean. The grounds of the Cafetal are beautiful and the kids had fun exploring them (we saw a number of large iguanas). The breakfast was excellent (included in the rate)... more
