3 nights in Le Macassar as part of our visit to the Somme WW1 battlefields which are close by. Great for Aussies as the Australian memorial is just 10 mins drive. The best B&B we have stayed in, Art Deco interiors with great attention to detail. However the highlight of the stay is the warmth of hosts Ian and Miguel,... More

First class B&B, from the excellent hosts, Ian and Miguel, through to the quality of the room and excellent breakfasts. The happy hours were a very nice touch!! Corbie is bit out of the way, but is a great hub for day trips.

This is a perfect location for exploring the lovely countryside and WW1 sites. Ian and Miguel know all there is to know about things to do and see, whatever your interests. All local foods for breakfast and very delicious.

As the unassuming door opens the experience begins. I won't spoil it by describing the Art Deco interiors, but feel assured you'll have a 'wow' moment when you walk into each room. This provides a great back drop for a stay in this area to explore the war sites and the many other things to do. We stayed 2 nights;... More

We stayed for several days in an upstairs room at the back (can't remember the name). It was an awesome experience. Our hosts were charming and helpful (friendly muppets also), welcoming us with what we understood was an afternoon glass of something nice to share whilst meeting the other guests and debriefing on the day's activities. The place is comfortable,... More

From the moment we arrived and were met by Ian , Miguel and their two dogs, we knew we had booked something special. We booked the Art Deco Suite, at the front of the property, overlooking the town square. We have stayed in some beautiful establishments around the world, over the years , but this would have to be one... More

This exquisite B&B, behind discreet walls, with a charming garden, is beautifully decorated by the two charming, informed hosts.Breakfast is served when you want it, with eggs served on order with bacon, fresh fruits, cheeses, all manner of breads and jams. This is a marvelous place to stay, especially if you're a little wiped out by touring WW1 sites. It... More

We wanted a bit of luxury for our Silver Wedding Anniversary and I fancied this Art Deco hotel. I thought it would be good but it was absolutely fantastic. It's a must for all you Art Deco lovers out there. The building overlooks the town square and has a lovely garden at the back with a water fountain that is... More

Staying at Le Macassar was a treat, since it is beyond our usual budget, but was very much worth it. Beautifully and artistically furnished, it is beyond what anyone can usually expect in a chambres d'hotes. The owners take you seriously, are interested in talking with you, are happy to describe their project of collecting art and decorating the interior... More

We stayed with Ian and Miguel during our visit to the Somme valley and had the most wonderful experience. They went to a huge amount of trouble to make sure we were comfortable and really went the extra mile. We arrived over the Bastille day celebrations. Every restaurant in the neighbourhood was closed, so they gave us the most delicious... More
