A wonderful experience lying behind the white gates in the Square in Corbie. Ian and Miguel are super hosts and their home is something special. The dining experience organised in the next village was tremendous! I doubt you would find anything to rival it!Nothing is too difficult for Ian and Miguel. A return visit is a must! more

We were not suprised to find that Le Mascassar is rated as one of the best 10 B and Bs in Europe and it was all that we hoped for (from other tripadvisor reviews) and far more. It took a bit of time to locate Le Macassar in the town square undergoing renovation but once inside the gates we entered... more

We had had quite an emotional two days doing the battlefield field tour and paying respects to our two great uncles who had died in the Somme so I was recommended to stay at Le Macassar for our last night before heading back to our respective countries. it was a perfect and relaxing end to our trip. Both Ian and... more

Le Macassar is like the Tardis - it doesn't look much from the outside but is large & unusual once you enter. It is an Art Deco fan's dream & although we're not particularly a fans of that period, we liked it, principally down to the owners' sense of hospitality (you are made to feel v welcome immediately you arrive)... more

A second visit (but not the last) when we once again experienced Miguel and Ian's warm hospitality and welcome. They large suite we stayed in was wonderful and, as all the rooms, so beautifully furnished. An added bonus was being there on a Sunday when the hosts provide dinner which highlighted Miguel's excellent cooking. Thanks to both for looking after... more

We enjoyed a very special three day stay at this hotel/B&B. Our hosts were warm and hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were beautifully decorated and luxuriously fitted out with great products in the bathroom. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious and the choices were overwhelming. We were encouraged to use the common lounge areas and enjoy the... more

It is hard to say what is best about Le Macassar. We do not normally stay at B&B's because some make you feel like you are staying in the owners spare bedroom. Le Macassar is not like that. It feels like a warm 5 star hotel and it is beautiful -really quite stunning and something you have to see to... more

This is a wonderful place for a short stay. The gentlemen who own and run it are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The property itself really is as good as it looks on the website, with the added attraction of the pets who seem to like the guests. Corbie is a small place, but as long as you've got a car... more

We have just returned from two lovely nights at Le Macassar. We were greeted by Ian and Miguel and sat down for a drink. Then we were shown to our room, although a little chilly, was absolutely lovely with a fantastic bathroom. We were served breakfast at 11am when we came down. This was really great as most places serve... more

From time to time at Le Macassar we play hosts to guests where it is initially evident that they do not really understand/grasp what it is that we take great efforts to create and provide here. Intangible experiences which go far beyond what one would find in a generic luxury hotel – the concept of generosity, personal attention, and entertaining...

After reading all the fabulous reviews we thought , --- it can't be that good! Well how wrong could we have been. From the moment you enter the property, you get a wonderful welcome from Ian and Miguel, like meeting old friends.Having had a weekend that we won't forget for a very long time, we could not fault anything,at anytime,(Thanks you... more
