We stayed 1 night in Hotel Marijke during a weekend breakaway. We chose this hotel because of its location, close to the centre of Bergen, with all the nice restaurants and terraces. Of course we have red the reviews on Tripadvisor and some of them are very negative. Maybe the hotel is overrated and I do understand the issues mentioned,... More

We stayed in this hotel just to relax a bit over the holiday season with friends. The rooms of the hotel are spread out across several houses. The room we stayed in is clean reasonably sized. The beds and pillows are too soft for my liking but still comfy. We stayed at a ground floor room and I can hear... More

This hotel was in a poor state. We booked a family room. Two adults and two children. In most hotels and motels a jug so you could make tea and coffee or at least warm a baby's bottle would be provided in your room. Any tea, coffee or even hot water you got charged for.... we spent many chilly nights... More

The good: Pretty much everything was as described. We booked a comfort class room with bath tub and the room exceeded our expectations. We had a tiny balcony (which we didn't use, as it was raining), a large tub, which we did, and a work desk. The breakfast buffet was nothing special, but a nice mix of the standard dutch... More

Great location in the city of Bergen, but parking on the premises is limited and on the public street is really expensive. Service is the biggest problem. You need to remind the staff on what you ordered. Don't recommend eating there.

The last day is the unbelievable cool and unwilling to help. When I asked for calling taxi to train station, the front desk receptionist shown unhappy body language. The worse happen to us s that the taxi did not come on time and I asked for the second call, the receptionist gave me a unwilling help body language . However,... More

I do agree with others. This is not a top class hotel. BUT. It does not try to be, nor pretend to be. This is a good quality, better than average holiday hotel in a small provincial town. For under Eu100, it is very good value for what is on offer. Yes, you can find better and more spacious rooms... More

This hotel is definitely not what it pretends to be. It is rather a simple 3 star hotel than a 4 star. That said it has some good points. It is nice and quiet, within walking distance of the centre, it is clean and it's buffet breakfast offers a lot of choices. We stayed in one of the annexes of... More

First note, this is not a 4 star hotel. An average 3 star is probably about right. We stayed for one night in a junior suite because the photo of the standard room on the website looked horrid. Room was a good size, cheap wooden laminate on the floor, old small bathroom, but everything was clean. The bed was very... More

This is an old hotel, located in a nice, quite area. The hotel certainly has a special character and is rather cosy but it doesn't derserve 4 stars. The rooms are very small and part of the equipment is worn out or not working. The hair dryer for instance made a terrible sound (worn out), some lamps were not working... More
