By far my favourite place to eat ever! Scott and babs give a real dining experience that you can't describe you just have to try it yourselves. One of the very few restaurants around that don't serve the same menu of what you see in any pub. Menu is decided up to the day before serving, depending on what they... More

Held a family wedding reception here, with guests staying in cottages/caravans. Had a great time, friendly staff (and owner!) made us all fresh wood-fired oven baked pizzas the night before (Friday) followed by a fantastic paella, the biggest I've ever seen. A huge spread of spit-roast chicken and pork served up for the main event. Needs reasonable weather, which fortunately... More

Although a bit of a mission to get to (be prepared and follow a good satnav), this campsite is worth a visit just for the restaurant. The pizzas are amazing. Also, the low key and chillaxed vibe of its visitors and indeed the owner itself, make it a relaxing getaway. The crowd may seem slightly young for those in their 30s,... More

Went on 2 week hol to the mill, though the setting is idyllic with animals and surrounded by the countryside, the caravans are well a little left to be desired. We had friends everyday with us, by friends I mean earwigs that liked to stay in the van too. Every night we had to clear them from our beds, toilet and kitchen... More

Friends were staying here so went to join them They said the site was "a little quirky" and they were right We just loved it! We were only camping simply which was very reasonable, and we have nice loos and hot showers But the bar and restaurant are just amazing. Who would have expected such top class food. Live music,... We were taken here by family members who had visited last year. Wasn't sure what to expect as they just said it was different! As we walked in through a marque with old sofas I really wondered where they were taking us. We then walked into a large barn with live music, a well stocked bar, open kitchen with pizza... More

We arrived late to the site after a 5 hour drive in the rain and we just wanted to set up camp and get some sleep. We knew we had to find Wilf, but asking someone that looked like they worked there, we got the response 'he'll be the one in the bar going WOOO!' OK, so that wasn't helpful.... More

Have visited a few times now and it never fails to amaze me! Surrounded by beautiful scenery and everything you need for a perfect get away. The people are also the friendliest and welcoming people you could ever wish to meet. Will be back soon!

An amazing place with a fantastic atmosphere. You would be hard pushed to find any where more relaxing or welcoming. Be sure to set your watch to Cornish time and let your troubles melt away. Quirky in a fabulous way! Wilf and his team are legends!

We have just returned from staying at Wilf's, and yet again we had a fab time. We took 60 eleven year olds down to Mawgen Porth as part of a watersports trip. This is the 2nd year we have stayed at Retorrick Mill and as usual we were made to feel very welcome by all. It has such a chilled... More
