three of us called in without a reservation and ordered bar food from this quiet bar area. the service was ok and the food arrived promptly. we all had steaks and they were cooked very well with onion rings and a 'stack' of chunky chips. No complaints apart from the fact that it took well over five minutes for them... More

Stopped at the Saracens Hotel overnight whilst attending a wedding at Norwood Park. The hotel in general is very good, with a central location, nice menu for food and pleasent, helpful staff. But...and this a big but....the room we stopped in (No 15) was terrible!! Even though we booked the room 6 months in advance we were given in my honest opinion the... More

We stayed here for a trip to Southwell races, and could not have picked a better Hotel. It's very oldy worldy with an incredible collection of clocks! They have a large car park, accessible by following the one-way system left past the Hotel, after approx 100yds is a small lane on the left which takes you to the rear of... More

Stayed for 3 days over the Valentines Day period and paid £50 per night including breakfast. This Hotel is an absolute delight situated in the centre of Southwell. The room was comfortable albeit the creaky floorboards take some getting used to. The staff were all very courteous and helpful. We ate on two evenings at the set price menu and... More

We booked for afternoon tea, which was really nice. The lounge area is very pleasant, the staff were attentive and helpful. The food itself was well presented, with a good selection to suit everyone's needs. We will definitely go again.

We needed to book a hotel near to a wedding we were attending. We were quite surprised how expensive all the hotels in this area were. Parking was easy and free and check-in was fast and efficient. Downstairs the hotel is delightful, suggest you have a drink or snack in the lounge with its array of clocks and colourful comfy... More

Food advertised in room booklet was not available. So... More

Stayed for two nights having booked through a Buy a Gift voucher - this place is lovely. Loads of character. Food is very good, well presented and reasonably priced. The only poor experience was when we asked for extra milk for tea in our room at 8:30 on Sunday and having been told by the evening receptionist that she would... More
