There is new ownership of the pub starting in May 2013. I'm told they are planning a real improvement to the food and atmosphere. Great cold beer and wine store and fantastic pizza from the pizzeria at end of building. Pizza available in pub as well...

I grew up going to the glen lake inn restaurant My mom and aunt worked there in the 80s and I have lived in close vicinity for most of my life. The recently re-invented the place and was a success. I had just about the best burger I have ever had. The burger came with havarti cheese on a Kaiser... More

First off you have to remember that this is not the Hilton or even the Marriott. If you are going to review a hotel you have to take it in context. This is an out of the way place that could have a lot to offer on a small scale. Well here are the facts... I have stayed here every... More

There has been some major changes at this place. Pub has been cometely reno'd. Has an actual chef now, nice local pub atmosphere vs a tavern like it used to be. Excellent French Onion soup for $6. Not a huge portion, just excellent.

You are not paying for the Hilton...so don't expect the Hilton. There was not a lot of choice in the area, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the rooms clean, and very comfortable. The restaurant is a family restaurant with diner and pub-style fare, it was fast and for the price, good value. There was a pub attached as... More

After a long day of travel, by motorcycle with my girlfriend, her friend and our infant girl following in the car, we came across on the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo. I was able get across on an earlier sailing with some other friends we were traveling with because they allow motorcycles to go right up to the front... More

We stayed at this motel for 4 nights while visiting relatives in the area. We chose the Glen Lake Inn because it was conveniently located near their home. This motel is in the western suburbs of Victoria and is less expensive than the downtown motels. It includes a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch, although the kitchen remains open for...
