We were three families, with five children in their early twenties. Surpassed all expectations. Believe every word of the glowing recommendations. bedrooms in the old winery are superbly modern, elsewhere original , ornate tiling and other attractive features make other bedrooms in the main house very special indeed. Manuel and his family are delightful, offering helpful information when we met,... More

We stayed 8 nights at this beautiful property. We were a group of extended family from both US and Europe, including young kids, young adults and middle aged folks. We rented the entire property (main house plus two guest houses) and made our communal space at the pool house. The gardens and pool were so lovely, it was hard to... More

We planned a late summer holiday and got the house at the last minute and what a gem!! With 3 kids, 9, 11 and 15 there was plenty for the kids to do: swimming, tennis, table tennis, games room, surfing nearby, cycling the list goes on. The house is amazing and the location was great with convenience stores near by... More

This place offers a quiet and charming retreat not far from Cintra and surfers seaside. The rooms are large and very well designed, they have this modern, breezy feel to them. The staff is very pleasant, the swimming pool nice and clean, and there are plenty of shaded places to take a nap outside. Overall, a perfect place for a... More

We stayed at this magnificent estate a week in July 2012, grandparents, parents, grandchildren and a dog, 8 adults and 5 kids in total. The houses and the gardens are beautiful, all very well kept. The houses are stylishly decorated. The garden contains 2 swimming pools with soft, salt and fresh water. One of these was in daily use, especially... More

One of the reasons for choosing this venue for our holiday was its location ... very central, being close to both Sintra and Cascais. The house and its surroundings are simply beautiful. Large gardens with swimming pool, tennis court and other facilities and very well restored houses with stylish decor which gives attention to detail. Our 'cottage' for a family... More

We stayed at this property with 2 families (10 in total) but there is room for 12 people. The property consists of a main house (4 bedrooms) and 2 lovely cottages (both with bedroom, living room and bathroom). The construction and decoration was done with lots of attention to detail : everywhere you'll find details of the farmhouse it used... More

We were using the Rusticae book and trying to stay away from big cities. This could not have been more perfect. Lovely grounds, lovely room, very friendly host, Manuel and next day met his sister Maria . Family run business. Wished we could have stayed longer. Away from all the hustle and bustle of Lisbon . Manuel gave us great... More
