Been here for lunch (absolutely recommend lunch so you can enjoy the views of the bucolic Alentejo) and had a superb lunch. As starters we had a game pie and the scallops à bras. Both were both very traditional (the flavors ) and creative (the presentation and mix) . For main courses we had the pork loin and the red... More

Being a fan of Marcio Kogan, we really wanted to stay here to experience his fabulous interiors. What we found was a hotel which could be amazing but lacks atmosphere and maintenance and feels a little bit unloved. The rooms (we had one of their Sky Suites) are gorgeous, with huge, supremely comfortable beds but we were woken a lot... More

We stayed in this hotel in august 2012 when it just opened, and the beautiful architecture, fantastic spatious rooms and good food made our vacation unforgettable. Temperatures were super-high (41degC) but you get used to that. Staying with a 2 year old at the time, made the separate living room very useful when the little one went to sleep, as... More

This was a stellar stay. The hotel staff provides a personalized stay, asking you to answer a form in advance. Afterwards, they keep giving you surprises accordingly. The packages are a good value for money, and you can have your bottle of wine of the Vineyards labeled with the picture or phrase that you want. The restaurant is fantastic, and... More

Modernistic architecture somewhat disconnected from surroundings and rather far from Evora. Excellent restaurant. My problem was with management. The website was difficult to use; I wanted to book the room for two nights with a dinner for only one but couldn't manage to do it. I then sent an email asking for dinner for one night. There was supposed to... More

The concept is fantastic. Beautiful modern architecture in the middle of hotel vines. The chalets are everything you need. Very well located, near Montemor-o-Novo, and about half an hour from Evora. The hotel’s restaurant has one Michelin star which surprises me! In principle its wonderful because you end up eating there every day! The food is good though, but not... More

L'and vineyards is new, isolated and architecturally interesting village of its own with its private wineyard and own winery. A lot of piece and quiet, own 1* Michelin restaurant and nice spa area with a large inside pool. Nice place for a quiet getaway if you do not end up at a Michelin dinner with a crying baby in the... Located in the countyside this resort provides ultra-tranquility. Both infity (in-&outdoor) pools were very nice. However, I felt that my SLH-club status was not recognized in any way. The architecture of this resort is quite similar to Alvar Aalto's (a Finnish architect and designer) so this was highly appreciated as a Finn.

l'ande vineyard hotel. I stayed here with my boyfriend last month having seen an article about it on the conde naste traveller website. It looked very cool! We checked in at about 4pm and were really impressed with the main building of the hotel as it is ultra modern, almost space-like, and the lobby area is really different. From the... More

First the good: the restaurant is superb! Exciting food, good wine list (a bit short for a one Michelin star though), friendly and attentive staff. We also did the 2 hour wine course which was done by the F&B Manager and really good and fun. The bad: they outsource the cleaning and although the rooms are clean, all kind of... More
