Organising a driving tour around Ireland for 14 persons is not easy when you want a nice location, good rooms, great meals and secure parking. This fantastic residence didn't come up on a first trawl of places to stay the night close to the Rosslare ferry, however fortunately I found it. We were treated royally by Paul and Kathleen, including... More

I can't fault Killiane Castle on any level other than the fact that it is a guest house/B&B that was sold to me via a website as a Hotel. The grounds are stunning as is the accommodation. We had a newly refurbished courtyard room which was beautifully finished. The breakfast was intimate and exquisite and can't be faulted. My only... More

We stayed here for one night after the ferry ride from Wales, before we drove across Ireland to the Dingle Peninsula. Our room was on the ground floor of the building that houses the Courtyard apartments. The room was clean and quiet the bed comfortable, and the bathroom somewhat luxurious. There was one restaurant that was just about walking distance... More

What made this stop special was the feeling of stepping back in time. The age of the home, the furnishings etc all gave it the feel of stepping back to a more genteel period of time. By today's standards the location is perhaps a little tired looking but the furnishings are in keeping with the age of the home. I... More

The village of Wexford is great- the castle was too remote for us & actually too homey. Like staying at your great aunts house where there is nothing to do & you aren't allowed to touch anything. Just not for us.

We stayed here for three nights in one of the apartments and it was great! It is a fair ways out of town- you certainly need a taxi or a car! The grounds are gorgeous and wonderful to explore on a nice day. You can also climb through the original part of the castle for a great view at the... More

This is a family run castle B&B with plenty of charm and a lot of character. Located on the outskirts of Wexford town in the country, it is easy to find and affords one a taste of Irish farm and country life. Kathleen is always there with warmth and hospitatlity. The grounds are great for walking and exploring an Irish... More

Cannot wait to come back. Our travel agent, Ginger Aarons set us up here for 2 nights and what a wonderful experience it was. Kathleen made us feel welcome and at home from the moment we arrived until check out time. Kathleen and her son Paul prepared a breakfast that was near perfect. We met some nice folks from Virginia,... More

The Mernagh family truly understand what good hospitality is all about. Paul ( the son ) was most effusive in his welcome when we arrived, and we were shown to a very nicely appointed room on the third floor with en-suite bathroom. Although it was May and the weather in the daytime was beautiful, the nights tended to be slightly... More

Killiane Castle is the perfect farm-house, equipped with all the modern convenience but also the peace and freedom of past times. It's a wonderful, renewing experience. family owned and run by the Mernagh Family. Awards winning B&B for its hospitality and comfort. Breakfast and dinner are homemade and almost all ingredients are produced in the farm. Once you have visited... More
