The Hotel Schwanen is nicely located at the end of a large street lined with shops, restaurants and grocery stores with everything you might want or need. And there are no cars on the street! I see complaints about the noise of the church bells and that is an issue, but it's no fault of the hotel. I doubt that... More

The room 34 was very noisy. Although the traffic quietens at night, the church bells keep striking every 15 min. I had asked for a quiet room ! The room on the top floor was pleasant and a good size single bed.

We obviously were lucky as we had one of the large, newer rooms. The hotels is quite expensive but that's Switzerland. I shall never complain about Paris prices again! The hotel was charming and the breakfast was good - lovely quality hams and cheeses and the multi-grain croissant was delish. We did not dine in the hotel in the evening... More

Pricy, but nice. Room for two with breakfast was $180.00 USD. We stayed in room #210 which was quite nice. The door was very thick keeping out sound, but watch the bump on the threshold. I tripped over it more than once. The wireless internet worked well. Check in was easy and the on duty manager Nils Heeb was friendly... More

I obviously did not get a refurbished room. My room reminded me of a 1970's era Holiday Inn without the amenities. There was a small T.V. on which the only English programing was MTV. I knew I was desperate when I actually watched "16 and Pregnant" and "Jersey Shore". The key (yes, I mean real key) to the room was... More

I stayed here twice in November on business and we soon realised there are big differences in the standard of the room depending on which one you get. We established that the best rooms are on the top floor - here you get a large double bed, very modern and newly renovated, lovely bathroom, flat screen TV. On the lower... More

Hotel Schwanen is probably the best you can get in WIl, because there is hardly any choice, but still I found it very dissapointing. The rooms feel like a time travel to the 70s: brownish carpet, brown furnitures, brown tiling with flowers in the bath room. Obviously no renovation has taken place then. I had booked a single room and... More

I spent a night at the Hotel Schwanen in Wil in lieu of a business meeting nearby. The hotel is in the center of Wil, less than 10 minutes walk from the train station and on a pedestrian street. The hotel is typically Swiss and I mean this in the best way. Rooms are not large and not elaborate but... More

We spent one night at this hotel - travelling from Germany to France. The staff were friendly. The hotel was in a great location right in the centre of town. Rooms were adequate but fine.

Booked by company. Good hotel. Better rooms. Good comfort. Next to train station, COOP and shopping arena. nice breakfast and also restaurant. I would prefer to stay here again. Internet WIfi is also included in the room rent which is good.
