Carmel is very nice and extremely welcoming. Nice rooms. Older style but nicely furnished. Very large and comfortable. Nice breakfast. You need a car here to get back to the surrounding walks. A nice large lounge area to relax in.

I stayed here during quite a chilly Autumn and nearly froze. While the rooms were nicely decorated, they were very cold and the beds felt damp. I wish I packed my thermals! Also, the breakfast was below par in that the portions size was very sparse. There is no public transport in the locality so choices are limited for seeing... More

Four of us stayed for one night to visit Glendalough. Carmel was a wonderful hostess. Her guest lounge is large and a nice place to relax. We enjoyed some time watching the telly after days of being on the go. Her breakfast pancakes with fruit are unbelievably delicious. I will be making them for my overnight guests at home. Easy... Carmel is probably one of the nicest people we met during our 10 days trip to Ireland. The room was large enough for 3 people and you could feel that the whole house was designed with love and care. Breakfast was amazing and generous with many choices. Thank you Carmel for your warm hospitality.

We spent a week at Carmels and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious. Everything was nice and clean. And Carmel is such a nice Person. We loved it. Andre and Susan from Germany.

With a warm welcome and clean and cozy rooms, it was all we could ask for! I was travelling with my Dad, and we both loved it! We felt so well looked after and it just felt like staying with family. The location was great, a few minutes drive from Glendalough and with beautiful nature all around us. The breakfast... More

My husband, my 1-year-old daughter and I stayed at Carmels only for 1 night, but we wish we could have stayed more. The house is really clean and cozy, and the room was big and comfortable. They provided a cot for my daughter. The breakfast is delicious, and generous too! You even get to choose from a breakfast menu. There... More

Carmel was a very friendly and welcoming host and the house itself was spotlessly clean and quiet. A car is a necessity in order to visit most of the surrounding sights. Room was very large as was the breakfast; would definitely stay again!
