We stayed here two nights on our return trip from South France. Perfectly located in a place called Saint Cyr au Mont d'Or. 15 minutes north of Lyon. It's located on a mountain with stunning views of Lyon. Hotel has a great terrace and a small but ok pool. There are a limited number of seatings by the pool, what... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel and enjoyed the experience thoroughly. The rooms (we stayed in a 'contemplative' room) are compact, but interesting and modernist in style with expansive views of Lyon and the wonderful surrounding landscape into the distance. Nice touches such as the unlimited free soft drinks in big retro fridges on... More

Rooms are very basic, but kind of trendy. We had an ant problem - they were everywhere and got all through our bags (and baby food). The staff changed our room, but we just had the same problem again. The pool is nice, but was a little chilly. Food average. We are in the restaurant two nights in a row... More

The setting is beautiful, with a great view over Lyon, but cuisine was disappointing. It's very pricy for what you get : expect 50 euros, including wine. The wine selection is small but well done and prices are very reasonnable. Produce are perfect quality and fresh. You are not able to choose first course and desserts, but the selection of... More

We have been there with family 2 adults and 2 kids from friday untill the monday morning. First night perfect food and food. Pricy but it is good food. In the weekend the service in restaurant or bar was below level. It was like there was no maitre d hotel. It was like the staff was replaced by jobstudents only.... More

While a little bit off the Autoroute du Soleil, this place is worth the detour for its fantastic location and excellent dinner/bed&breakfast deal. The restaurant is perched on the top of a mountain overlooking the Rhone valley and serves an excellent 4 course dinner (included in the overnight rate).

On top of the hill with great views. Innovative cuisine. Some nice designer details all around the property. It only has a limited number of rooms, which is for me a big plus. Definitely not luxurious, but comfy and clean. Free WiFi. Free mini bar (non-alchoholic only :-)) They also have a convenient conference room and provide enough Nespresso coffee... More

Set high above Lyon the hotel overlooks the city and the surrounding suburbs and countryside. Mind you we awoke in a cloud which also has its own charm. The hotel is a strange mixture of styles but somehow it all comes together as rather charming. The room is sparse, even down to an open concrete wall. The bed is comfortable.... More

We discovered the Ermitage on a visit to Paul Bocuse’s mythical restaurant at Collonges on the outskirts of Lyon. Looking for a place to stay nearby, we happened upon the website of the Ermitage. We were intrigued by the unusual character of this hotel located at the pinnacle of the Mont d’or.

After winding our way through the villages leading... More

We stayed here for one night. The primary reason we chose the hotel was its apparent proximity to Paul Bocuse's restaurant; I say apparent as 1.2km as the crow flies translates to 6km on the winding narrow suburban roads - the trip takes about 15 minutes. The photos provided by TA are not of the actual hotel - I've added... More
