The hotel is very well located, just 5 minutes from the seaside. The room is old but ok. I had problem with the shower and couldn't get hot water at the end. The service was just about decent. The staff was polite to the minimum and we didn't feel very welcome. Food is ok (breakfast is cereals + full english).

Went here for Sunday lunch, meat was all dry, both lamb and turkey. Roast potatoes tasted like frozen ones that had been re-heated, vegetables were almost non existent, few carrots bit of broccoli and some cauliflower cheese, which is no good for someone who doesn't eat cheese. Yorkshire puds were hard as rock! Would definitely not recommend it !

I stayed here between Christmas and New Year 2013. Gave a not good review and it's been taken down! You have to pay in advance so if you have a problem no one wants to know. Very small rooms. Average food.

I have used "the Ship" on several occasions . always a good experience. comfortable, clean romos .a good bar área ,and excellent food . the garden to relax in and good service, new romney has only a few places to stay .so the ship has to be the place to go .service and value second to none locally .

I spent 4 nights in the ship as I was working locally. The rooms were great value, very clean and comfortable. The bar is great and all the staff are very helpful and friendly. The ales are tasty and well looked after. The menu is tasty and reasonably priced, and breakfast is cracking. Ample car parking and easy to find... More

We stopped to see if there were any rooms available for one night as we were travelling around and the pub/hotel looked inviting. We are so pleased we did although there was only a twin bedded room available. The room and en-suite were clean and very well decorated. The beds were comfortable. The staff very friendly and helpful. The evening... More

Very pleasant small hotel. Bar area very nice, clean with good selection of larger and ales. Lovely conservatory and garden. Restaurant very spacious, good menu, good service and good food. Room was on the road side of the hotel so a traffic noise was noticeable early in the morning but clean and tidy. Staff pleasant and helpful, lovely stay.

Have stayed here twice now, for one night on both occasions. This is a pub/bar with accommodation the first time we stayed was a Friday night this is disco night and the second time we stayed was a Saturday which coincided with England's 1st match in the 2014 Football World Cup! On both occasions we were warned it could be... More
