I got a deal through LivingSocial for a 3 night stay. My husband and I was given suite 7 which was ( and read) the best room in the hotel. It was very clean and spacious. With tea/coffee making facilities and towels provided. It included a double and a single bedroom and a large bathroom with bath and overhead shower.... More

In August 2014, I booked a room - by telephone - for two nights at this hotel for October 2014, and - crucially - received a confirmation e-mail. On the afternoon (4pm, to be precise) of the day before check-in I received an e-mail - not a telephone call - to state that there had been an error and that... More

We spent three nights at The Dog Inn and had a really lovely time. We had a quiet suite at the back of the hotel. Very attractive conservatory eating or by the roaring fire. The full English was great as was the a la carte menu. Staff very friendly and helpful. Central for Canterbury and surrounding places of interest.

Stayed one night for DB&B using a Wowcher voucher. Our room (3) was spacious.with a double bed and 2 armchairs to watch TV.Although the TV was ancient,it was a decent picture and perfectly watchable. The shower room was tiny, just enough space for the shower cubicle and the loo.The basin was situated in the room.No problem with the shower though.....it was fine.Our... More

We booked the Dog Inn and upgraded for the posh room and dinner included option. When we arrived we were given the keys to room by a nice chap on the front desk. The room was tiny and hot (we went on July) but thought that there must have been a mistake as we had upgraded. we returned back to... More

Had a wonderful three nights. Great room with a huge, unbelievably comfortable bed. Ate in the restaurant each evening and thoroughly enjoyed every dish, especially the lamb rump. Must compliment Claire and Charlotte for their friendliness, professionalism and customer care skills. Also a big thanks to the chefs, Richard and Alan, lovely food! This was my second visit and planning... More

just got back from an amazing one night stay at the Dog Inn. Friendly welcome, warm and cosy room with plenty of character. Beautifully cooked and presented three course meal served in the bar area beside a roaring open fire. The following morning a full English breakfast of outstanding quality served in a warm bright airy conservatory Along with plenty... More

Wingham is a good location, near to Canterbury and some beautiful countryside. This is a very old inn but is badly in need of some TLC. I can only speak for a couple of the rooms, but would recommend neither. Room 2 is right at the front of the building - basically on the road. The bed is under the... More

Downstairs this old pub has been nicely converted into a smart "Gastro pub" but as soon as you are taken upstairs on a dirty carpet with chipped stair rail the scene changes and if you are unlucky enough to be shown into room five which is NOT a double, but is a box room. That's where the journey begins. In the... More

Stayed for two nights recently. I rang the hotel & they matched the price on Groupon although we upgraded by staying in the four poster bed room which was lovely! Our deal included a 3 course meal- which was absolutely delicious! Breakfast was very well cooked although think could be improved by asking if you wanted eggs done a certain... More
