We stayed here for 2 nights on a Living Social deal. From minute one we felt the staff were so helpful and polite, so we do not understand other peoples reviews on lack of customer service. The staff could not do more for us, they were very understanding when we had to change dates around etc due to personal circumstances.... More

We stayed on a Saturday night (2 couples + 2 dogs) and were placed in rooms 7 & 8, which was really great, as it was like having our own 2-storey wing. Entrance was separate at the back of the Inn and led straight onto the rear patio. The room was really quiet and we slept very well in a... More

Have just arrived home after a two night deal with Living Social. After reading previous reviews we were not really looking forward to our visit. On arrival we were met by the owner/manager. No hello or welcome just a "you cannot book into your room until 3 o'clock!". We left went for a drive to nearby Sandwich wondering if we... More

The village and surroundings are beautiful. The Dog Inn is really old and lovely the food was amazing not a massive menu for choice but all cooked fresh to order. The afternoon tea was divine. My only complaint was the noise due to such an old building we were above the kitchen and door leading to restaurant and all you... More

Apart from the food which was good and a couple of members of staff who were friendly this was not a good experience. The manager so miserable on checking in (we did not have a smile or a friendly conversation from him the whole 3 days we were there ). We had room 3 ( which was ok) right above... More

Be careful if you book to stay at the Dog Inn. They do not answer emails or phone calls or return telephone messages. They changed our reservation (which had been booked for 10 weeks) without telling us to move us to their sister hotel, The Blazing Donkey, which was in the middle of nowhere (and not a nice place).

This could be such a great hotel. It's old and interesting but lacks the love and attention. We arrived for 3 nights stay. I'd read some poor reviews after booking and was apprehensive. We were greeted by a young and enthusiastic solo member of staff. We were shown to an upstairs 2 bedroom suite, that overlooked the patio and rear... More

Have just stayed three nights on a good value deal. Booking was simple and quick. Check-in was efficient. The restaurant and bar areas are attractive and comfortable. The room was on the smallish side but was sufficient for our needs and had all the necessary amenites, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had obviuosly fairly recently been refurbished and...
