Hiromi and hasayuki amano Incredible hosts and incredible food!incredible view! We had an incredible time! Wish we could stay more than a day. We got wormly welcomed. They gave us a small track to get to a wonderful garden with the Mt Fuji in the background. Dinner was incredible and in the mean time I could see her rushing upstairs... More

I stayed one night and found the hosts to be wonderful and friendly. The pick up and drop off service from the train station is very handy. Highly recommend going for the Japanese dinner and breakfast option - the food was simply amazing, definitely out of 16 nights in Japan, this was one of the highlights. The onsen was very... More

Stayed with my wife for 2 nights, wished could stay longer, if not forever. This ryokan is not very accessible by public transport, but the few kilometres walk on the snow-covering path (tokai) to the nearest town (oshino hakai) was indeed enjoyable! We had a room with the view of Mount Fuji, and we were lucky that the clear great... More

I was searching for an affordable ryokan accommodation around Kawaguchiko but was always stumped when I saw the very expensive prices. I read that the time I was going there was holiday season hence the spike in prices. Nevertheless, I chanced on Fujitomita Inn and since it had the lowest price from among those that I canvassed, I immediately booked.... More

I spent 1 night with our small group in this very lovely Ryokan. The owner Masa and his wife Hironi we're very nice. The 3 children we're also very friendly. We had a very nice large room with the view of Mont Fuji which we did not see because of the clouds. The dinner was delicious, cucumber salad, seafood salad, mackerel, lemon... More

Amano and her husband make you feel like home away from home with the sole difference that you haven't to do anything to enjoy true happiness. The service and the food are exceptional. Amano's husband is a real "CHEF" making Kaiseki Dinner at the Best. Fujisan view included (weather permitting). The room is very big with all amenities we needed.... More

A most friendly family-run little inn with awesome views of Mt. Fuji, and cute little 'family' onsen baths. Dinner and Breakfast (Japanese selection) were fine -- huge amount of food! Outdoor/garden area was unusual but also great: trampolines and a swimming pool. Very unusual to find at a little inn like this. Just perfect to relax, and watch the kids... More

After an incredibly long travel day from Vancouver and finally finding ourselves at Fuji-San train station, it was so wonderful to call ryokan Fujitomita and have our hostess say they would happily come to pick us up. Out host collected us from the train station and drove for about 10 minutes to the ryokan. There, our hostess came out to... More

It's a little out of the way but the owners will pick you up from the train station and take you back. During your stay you can get around by bus, on foot if visiting nearby attractions, or by taxi. The inn offers spacious rooms with tea-making facilities and a fridge stocked up with water and beer (you can request... More
