Stayed here with friends before and after we climbed Mr. Fuji. Staff were really friendly, the shuttle to the station was helpful (especially after the climb!) and there was a discount on the neighboring onsen.

You cant ask for more at this price as we walk in during peak week in Japan. Unlike other hotels, hostel which might upcharge a lot, they didnot. Also, I read some previous reviews saying the staffs were not the friendliest. However, the staff I met Melina, Mariko, Ken (I wish I spell them right) are awesome and helpful. Esp... More

Stayed here early last week. The hostel is about 15-20 minutes walk away from kawaguchiko station, although it provides free pick ups till 7:30pm, if you plan on arriving later honestly stay somewhere closer to the station as it's not worth the ¥1000 save. Rooms are standard, the wifi is only on the ground floor. Some staff weren't the friendliest,... More

A friend and I stayed here last month when we were taking part in the Fuji Mountain Race, a half-marathon from city hall in Fujisan to the peak's summit. It's nestled in a quiet neighborhood, near a beautiful lake with walking paths, several convenience stores (Seven11 with actually decent entree options that I warmed up in the hostel's spacious, well-equipped... Me and muy husband stayed one night before climbing the Mount Fuji. The hostel is awesome, very clean and comfortable. They pick us up at the train station and also kept our luggage for one night while we were climbingthe Fujisan, for 100 yen each suitcase. The staff is very welcoming.

K's house is a large and professional hostel to stay in, it doesn't have the same charm as some of the smaller ones but it offers faultless service and amenities. Nice dorm rooms, a huge kitchen and living room with a tatami room table and a large tv. Plenty of space to relax and stretch your legs after hiking up... More

We had two children with us and so booked the family tatami mat room. The kids loved staying here, and we were really happy and comfortable. Fantastic common areas, and extremely helpful staff. We would definitely stay here again. K's House in other locations also look great and we would try them on our next trip. Recommend arranging transport/calling for... More

They pride themselves on the experience here. The bicycle hire at 150 yen per hour is great. Lovely easy cycling around Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Saiko if you feel energetic. (I took about 4 hours to cycle around both at a casual pace) Hostel is about 15 mins walk from the station. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. (The quest to... More

The free pick up from the train station was just the start. We were in a dormitory, which although was shared with a women who snored louder than a hippo, was clean and spacious with tatami mats. The whole hostel has great decor - modern but with traditional japanese design here and there. There is a large common area with... More

A very spacious and nice hostel. Tatami floors everywhere, there's heating in the rooms (it was definitely necessary when I was there), clean rooms and common rooms, really cozy and comfy. perfect hostel!
