I recently came back from five weeks traveling around Japan. During that time, I stayed at four or five K's Houses, and this one was certainly the least "new", the most "worn", and with the "least friendly" staff of them all. But don't get me wrong. Japanese hostels set a high bar; and I was overwhelmed by the cleanliness, orderliness,... More

i stayed at the fenale dorm for 2 nights. room was clean with comfy beds. the common area and kitchen were big, clean and cozy, where you can easily make friends with other travelers. staff was nice and speaks very good english. there was a huge supermarket 10-minute walk from the gueshouse, where you can get stuff at a really... I wanted to include a visit to Mt. Fuji in our Japan itinerary and heavily researched tour groups. One of my internet searches uncovered K’s House Budget Tour. It was by far the most comprehensive and the least expensive. We both enjoyed Fuji Sengen Shrine, 5th level of Mt.Fuji, Aokigahara Lava Forest, Wind Cave, Shiraito Falls, and Lake Motosuko. Our... Great location for Lake Kawaguchiko. There are a few restaurants nearby and also a bar right next door. We stayed in a Japanese-style private room with a shared bathroom; both of which were clean. The staff were friendly and helped us with directions. The hostel provides a pick up and drop off service to the train station. We had quite... More

We stayed in the Japanese Style Double Room, good-size rooms with A/C and Wi-Fi. Clean and quiet, staff are very friendly, helpful and there is a free pick-up and drop-off service from Rail Station. Only a few minutes’ walk from the Lake. Well equipped Kitchen. Close to supermarkets, restaurants. And onsen. Good value for money.

For single people young and old this place is a great deal. Its clean, comfy, well located and overall a nice accommodation. I stayed here with my husband and three children. We opted for the 'semi' private room which meant we used the shared bathroom and it was really no big deal. The only problem for me is that we... More

The hostel is generally well-maintained, clean and comfortable, if you were to keep an eye closed for the slightly messy and unkept garden. We love the tatami room that we got. Location-wise, this hostel is just a stone’s throw away from the lake and main street where more f&b options are available. Facilities are also complete. So it’s no wonder... More

One of the best places I've ever stayed. They pick you up from the station and drop you back off, free. The hotel is extremely spacious, with several big rooms to lounge around and socialize in. Kitchen is absolutely huge. The rooms themselves, we stayed in a small Japanese room, which turned out to be much larger than expected for... More

Surprisingly, the room is big compare with hostel room in Tokyo and Kyoto. Wifi as usual is excellent. Kitchen and communal room is big as well. From the back of the hostel, you could see Mt Fuji. From the hostel, it only takes 5 minutes walk to Kawaguchiko lake where you could have a stunning view of Mt Fuji. To... More
