I was there with my husband and my children, for two nights. We stayed in the Japanese room, the tatami room was perfect for my 2 children. The hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. This hotel was fantastic and gave us fantastic views of Mt fuji and lake Kawaguchi.

I traveled to Kawakuchi lake last April. It was such a great memory with the nature beauty and also the accomodation at Hotel New Century. The room is very wide and all facilities (excluded hair-dyer) are provided. The sceneric from the room is superb, we can see Fuji Mt. behind the great lake so clearly from our room. Me and... More

The service is good. Once we booked the room with breakfast and dinner, the hotel emailed us the choices of main dish for dinner. When we arrived in Kawaguchiko, we went to the information counter next to the train station askiing for the pick up, and the van arrived in a short time. Once we arrived at the hotel, the... More

Booked this hotel as my wife wanted to try the Japanese rooms, we were not disappointed. Arrived by bus at Kawaguchiko Station and, as advised, a quick phone call by the tourist office staff and we were picked up by the hotel mini bus a few minutes later. Our room had a fantastic view of Mount Fuji, we were lucky... More

Different strokes for different folks as they say. But if you're like us, the first reason for choosing a hotel must be its location, right? Perfectly positioned on the north shore of Kawaguchi-ko (ko means lake in Japanese), to see Mt Fuji rising above the placid lake waters and a 8-minute brisk walk to the picture-postcard vantage point of Ubuyagasaki... After arriving at Kawaguchiko station we called the hotel to pick us up and they arrived within 10 mins (you can ask the tourist information desk to call the hotel). We were lucky to arrive on a clear sunny day and were blown away by the spectacular view. We picked this hotel to try out the traditional Japanese Tatami rooms... More

Not saying about the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji here, we all knew that. Hotel New Century is very lovely small hotel. Very friendly staff. Room, not the best in this area but the view from your room you can't resist. Free shuttle service, just go to the tourist information at Kawaguchiko Station and ask them to call the hotel.... More

Free hotel pick up & drop off at the train/bus station! Just ask the tourist information staff to make the phone call for you, you will be on your way to the hotel in 5-10 mins. We stayed at the tatami room, with mountain Fuji right outside of our window. It's magical. The food & onsen were great, the beds... More

This hotel provided a free shuttle service from/to train station which was great as we didn't have to worry about a taxi. When we arrived at the hotel there was a welcoming sign out the front with your name on it and all the staff are so friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a traditional Japanese tatami room which... We stayed at Hotel New Century for one night. We picked the traditional ryokan room to stay in. I think it was the best selection, as I peaked inside a "Western" style room and it didn't look as nice as ours. Our room faced the lake and we had a beautiful view of the town and lake on our balcony.... More
