After few train rides we arrived at Kawaguchi station. We went to the information centre to ask the staff for hotel pick up. The shuttle arrived in about 10 minutes. We stayed at the traditional japanese room. The room is a bit old, but the view was amazing! Facing the lake and Mt Fuji. We stayed there for two nights... More

Been to Japan many times but had never seen Mt. Fuji up close, so we splurged and stayed 1 night in Kawaguchiko at the Hotel New Century. This hotel was more expensive that we would typically stay, but it was worth every yen. Located on the north side of Lake Kawaguchiko, the hotel had exactly the view of Mt. Fuji... More

The hotel looked quite old, but it's well maintained. There were 2 types of room: Japanese and Western. We stayed in Japanese rooms, where beds (futons) were made in the evening before bedtime. During which, the table and chairs would be pushed aside. Bathroom, toilet and sink were all in different places, small but clean and functional, except for the... More

Though not the most expensive in the area, this hotel is the priciest I've stayed in Japan. I would say it's because of the location which is right across Kawaguchiko lake, overlooking Mount Fuji. I didn't get to see Mount Fuji though since it was rainy and cloudy. It was disappointing yet expected. Our room was right across the lone... More

I stayed at this hotel in a Japanese-style room for one night with my girlfriend. The staffs were very nice and helpful. They offered to pick us up at the train station even before the check-in time started. The staffs could communicate and understood your requirements despite their limited English. There was a wifi in the room free of charge.... More

It was a great experience to have dinner in our room. The food was on different small beautiful plates and bowls. We had sushi, sashimi, tofu and hot pot, etc. The hotel had a flexible policy about the breakfast. We could go out in the morning and come back to have the “breakfast” at lunchtime. The food was delicious. Free... More

We are a group of 6, 3 are elders and stayed for 2 nights in Japanese rooms. Most of the staffs do not speak English but they are so attentive and willing to help all the time. Our room has a balcony with the lake and Fuji-San view which is a plus. I only had a chance to try their... More

The hotel is pretty tired looking as compared to the neighbouring other hotels. It is also looking less attrative compared to the one 2 door away. But however, the service is reallygood. They make us feel really like home and they are willing to help you with any requests. No doubt the price is steep, i believe the neighbouring ones... More
