This is not a 5 star hotel but the room ( we chose a twin room to get a larger size room)was spacious with a seating area and our view of Mt Fuji was superb. The beds were very comfortable and not hard, a plus in Japan. The best way to approach meal times is to go after the bus... More

Upon arrival, Bell won't help us for Luggages. Buffet food was under standard. Unfriendly staff and don't understand English. We ask for additional towel for 2 years old child but they deny to offer. Breakfast served only until 8.30 am which unacceptable esp we are in resort and want to relax and not too rush. Definitely only for cheap tour... More

Unfortunately the weather was not good when we visited. It snowed all day. Views from our room on the 6th floor would be magnificent in fine weather. There was no internet in the rooms, and no bar- only vending machines. The spa on the 5th floor did not allow clothes to be worn,so was not for the shy. Breakfast and... More

The rooms are comfortable and spacious and we slept well, but the best thing is the fantastic view from the window of Mt Fuji. It's worth staying here for that alone. The hotel decor looked a bit tired. The breakfast was the usual hotel buffet style, and there were some interesting foods available as well as the usual stuff. There's... More

Tominoko is an onsen hotel fronting Lake Kawaguchi in the Mt Fuji Five Lakes region. The best thing about the hotel is the magnificent view of Mt Fuji together with Lake Kawaguchi. Most of the rooms have this view and even have a small sitting area for you to enjoy the view. The room itself is a decent size, clean... More

Travelled in Oct 2012, it is a very much back dated review but i must comment that the hotel has an awesome view of mt. Fuji and the lake Kawaguchi. It was so memorable that i could still remember till this date the magnificent mt. fuji right in front of me before i sleep and waking up to the same... More

We stayed here for 3 days in February. The staff were all extremely helpful and attentive - we're not big fish eaters and this was noticed and we were prepared Wagyu Steak one night for dinner! The location is fantastic - you can walk around the lake and into town and can access some good hikes. Mount Fuji views are... More

The hotel is a traditional Japanese hotel with most rooms has a view of mount Fuji unobstructed. They have a Japanese bathrobe and slippers. The hot spa room with outdoor tub was relaxing but you have to be naked which is weird. Breakfast showcases traditional Japanese menu. Near a busy street so be careful crossing the street. Will recommend when... More

A lovely small traditional japanese hotel with all rooms affording a breathtakingly stunning view over lake kawaguchi and Mount Fuji. A little dated in places but spotlessly clean. Don't miss the massage chairs on the 5th floor overlooking the lake! Bliss. A good varied buffet breakfast and dinner, something for everyone. The fireworks over the lake at weekends are beautiful...
