We stayed here for 3 days in February. The staff were all extremely helpful and attentive - we're not big fish eaters and this was noticed and we were prepared Wagyu Steak one night for dinner! The location is fantastic - you can walk around the lake and into town and can access some good hikes. Mount Fuji views are... More

The hotel is a traditional Japanese hotel with most rooms has a view of mount Fuji unobstructed. They have a Japanese bathrobe and slippers. The hot spa room with outdoor tub was relaxing but you have to be naked which is weird. Breakfast showcases traditional Japanese menu. Near a busy street so be careful crossing the street. Will recommend when... More

A lovely small traditional japanese hotel with all rooms affording a breathtakingly stunning view over lake kawaguchi and Mount Fuji. A little dated in places but spotlessly clean. Don't miss the massage chairs on the 5th floor overlooking the lake! Bliss. A good varied buffet breakfast and dinner, something for everyone. The fireworks over the lake at weekends are beautiful... Room was clean and comfortable. I heard the Onsen (spa) was very nice and relaxing, but couldn't visit bc of health reasons. Food quality in hotel restaurant, not up to par. Magnificent view of Mount Fuji.

While the hotel offers great view of Kawaguchiko lake and Mt Fuji from the rooms, however, the service and meals are disappointing. The stay package includes buffet breakfast and dinner, but the food tastes plain and average. Onsen is not bad, but onsen fee is charged for every guest even if you do not wish to go for onsen. When... More

Great view, plenty of pretty good food, very hospitable staff, nice comfortable rooms, v good onsen and the girls loved the massage chairs overlooking the lake and My Fuji. Really worth the Tokyo side trip, but its always a gamble on whether you see the mountain - great view when we arrived, behind the clouds the next day.

I have been to this hotel during a trip to Japan. This hotel has its pros and cons, but overall im very pleased witht this hotel's location and service. This hotel provides the best view of Mt Fuji and its spa is simply refreshing. However, during my stay, Mt Fuji's view was obstructed by heavy snowing. The wifi is painfully... More

The Tominoko Hotel seemed older, but we had a view of Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji. Dinner was rather unappetizing with few appealing vegetarian options, mostly cold, soggy french fries, and breakfast wasn't much better. Our rooms included yukatas, casual summer kimonos. Older accommodations, but clean, and the view can't be beat!

We've visited Fujikawa earlier this year. Stay overnight at Hotel Kawaguchiko. This hotel is simple, yet quite complete facilities. It have craft stores, restaurants with good food, and also an onsen. Nice room, clean restrooms with hot water, and the best thing is, the room directly overlooking Mount Fuji. The hotel is located right in front of Lake Kawaguchi.

we stayed one night at the tominoko hotel at lake kawaguchi. overall a very good experience. the single best and unbeatable wow factor with this hotel is the stunning view from the rooms of mount fuji reflecting in the lake. when we arrived it was raining - the complimentary mini bus pick up service from the station was therefore very...
