We stayed at Hotel Sawa for two nights - before and after attempting a Fuji climb. Great location for this. 10 min walk to Kawaguchico Station, where you can get bus to Fuji 5tg Station. We contacted the hotel before to ask if it was OK to forward a suitcase the week before & they said it was fine. We... More

We only stayed a night here... we were prepping to climb Mt. Fuji, and did a little sightseeing the day before. We asked some advice for places to eat, and got some good advice about a close by yaki-tori place... And they held our bags for quite a while before we checked in. Nothing special about the room... average, but... More

It was my first experience at a Japanese hotel and it was great. The staff were awesome, they bent over backwards to accommodate me. The hotel was super clean and my room was spacious. It was two blocks, walking distance, from the Kawaguchiko Station. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was located about a 5-10 minute walk from Kawaguchiko station through the backroads. It wasn't a problem even with luggage. Clean, quiet, more than functional, with a mini kitchen (although spoons were missing), desk and tv, and a balcony with a great view of Mt Fuji. The bed was plush, offering restful sleep. Local food and shops are... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. The room is quite spacious and clean and has all the basic amenities like kettle, hair dryer, toiletries, kimono, slippers, clock. The hotel provides free pick up. Just go to the Tourist Info Center upon arrival, and the staff there will assist you to call the hotel. There are several good restaurants nearby. Hotel... More

Not the fanciest hotel - but if you are on a budget this clean but old hotel should be the right fit. Rooms are large, but have a slight dormitory feel to them. Mind you, you wake up to the sight of Mt Fuji in the morning so it doesn't matter. Breakfast must be booked ahead, the night before -... More

We stayed here for four days go enjoy the area around mt Fuji, it is about a kilometre out of town but they have shuttle to pick you up from train station and shuttles in the mornings. The rooms are huge by Japan's standard, clean bright and soft comfortable beds. Not fabulous English at reception but they try hard and... More

The hotel is behind the main train station about a 15-20min walk. Its cheap coz its not close to the river(which has the best views of mt fuji-although where ever u are the view is good).book if your desperate and want to save money.the walk from the station to the river is 10mins.

We stayed at the Hotel Sawa for 3 nights on a recent trip to Japan. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a well priced, comfortable hotel. The rooms was large (for Japan) and we had a great view of My Fuji from our balcony. There is a laundry on the second floor... More

Hotel is very dated but it is nice and clean. Rooms were considered quite sizeable in Japan's standards. Very friendly English speaking staff. Complimentary shuttle service to train station in the morning.
