The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the train station. There was wifi in the lobby, but not in the rooms. There was a microwave off the elevator lobby for use by guests. The room was large, with good AC and a balcony that had a laundry drying pole and brackets. The room had a queen bed with... More

The hotel has a good location for climbing MT Fuji. Other than that I disagree with other travelers regarding price and value. The standard is back to the 60`s, hard beds and you have no wifi in the rooms, pricewize; the area is costly because it is nearby the mountain. On the positive side; the rooms are big, the staff... Hotel is located in a quiet area not far from the train station where buses runs to various places of interest. Not many eating places around the hotel though. Room is clean and spacious. Service is ok but not flexible.

We stayed 3 nights in Sawa hotel to explore the Fuji Five lakes area. It served as an excellent base. We had a hire car so it was easy to get to it and to get around. Room was very spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful and directed us to a great onsen (with view of Mt Fuji!) and... More

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room we had was larger than rooms in other hotels in Japan. It was equipped with fridge & kettle, and it had a balcony with a clothes drying rack. The included breakfast was served, rather than being buffet style. It consisted of a mini-hamburger (yes, a hamburger), salad, yogurt, potato... More

Stayed over in Hotel Sawa for only a night in Kawaguchiko, visiting kachi-kachi ropeway, Lake Yamanakako/Asahigaoka, Chureito Pagoda and Oshino Hakkai. Considered a rush trip as there a plenty more place to visit around the Lake kawaguchiko and other smaller lakes. Hotel save is a basic hotel which have all ameninities that you will need. Very reasonable rate in Kawaguchiko.... More

Stayed there for 3 nights on may stay in Kawaguchiko. Didn't expect too much, because I got a single room for only 8.500 Yen / night. But I was more than surprised ... it was a very nice little hotel. The room was quite small, but had everything in it. Except WiFi, that was only available in the Lobby. But... More

This hotel is very good value for money. We stayed here to explore this area having previously visited on a day trip from Tokyo; we also wanted to climb Mt Fuji. Stayed here for a couple of nights. Didn't spend too much time in the hotel as we were making the most of the area but the rooms are clean and well equipped. Staff are helpful and everything you need is in the hotel - microwaves on each floor and a laundry room. Large reception area and breakfast/coffee bar. Not too... More
