We were followed package tour to this hotel and we only stayed 1 night. The hotel is facing to Lake Kawaguchi with nice view but can't see Mt. Fuji which is at behind of the hotel. We had a huge tatami room with living hall. The toilet is seperate from the bath. There is seperate onsen (male and female) at... More

In Japan, many hotels can have a "vintage" charm that make you forgive the lack of modern facilities. Koryu could have been one of them, but unfortunately it seems nothing inside has been refurbished or even well maintained since the late 70s. Yes the color-scheme and furnitures are charming, but quite a few carpets were stained, the room's heating could... More

Good hotel, nice staff but hotel itself cant see Fuji Mt so you might disappoint, no other coffee shop or resturant nearby. Must take shuttle bus or taxi to train station. Price is resonable and acceptable

We now stayed here for one night with one more to come. The hotel is located on the shore of lake kawaguchi, around 3 or 4 km from the station. A taxi costs 800 to 1000 yen. The hotel doesn't look fancy from outside but it is quite nice from inside. We had a Japanese style tatami room. It is... More

Pros: A no-frills hotel, with an excellent view of the Kawaguchi lake just in front of you. Has 3 hot springs for those looking for an out-of-the-world experience. Cons: Overall, the hotel is fairly old, as aparent from its lobby and decor. Rooms & especially bathrooms were very small. Breakfast options were limited.
