The hotel is very clean & well maintained. The japanese style room is very cosy. The view from the room is great, overlooking Lake Kawaguchi and mountains (not Mount Fuji though). Hot & cold drinking water, fridge, tv, basic toiletries, yukata & hair dryer are provided. Free public onsen can be used all day. Free wifi, coffee, tea & biscuits... More

We stayed two nights at this traditional Japanese hotel that we booked in advance of our trip, and were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is about a 5 minute drive by hotel shuttle from Kawaguchiko Train Station. Our room was quite chic in its simple furnishings and décor. The view over the Lake Kawaguchiko and mountains was awesome. The Japanese... More

Stayed here for 2 nights and luckily booked in half board. I write luckily because most restaurants in the neighbourhood were closed and the food is absolutely delicious. We arrived around 18.30h at Fujikawaguchiko station and when we called for pick up they arrived within 5 min. The ride by car is only about 5 min but the hotel is... More

Located at a remote hillside, it is impossible to get to the hotel so thank god for their hotel shuttle from the Kawaguchiko station (only available for pick up form 3pm to 6pm. The hotel is small and you can tell there isn't much staff but yet the service level is superb as everyone was really attentive and hardworking. I... More

We loved this traditional hotel. We had a Japanese style room and half board. We phoned the hotel from the station and they promptly picked us up. We were greeted on arrival with jasmine tea and a Japanese snack. I was then asked to choose a Japanese style dress (males one supplied in room), we were asked to book our... More

welcoming staff. beautiful and comfortable rooms. individual yukatas you choose on check in (for women) was a great touch. and what a view! but better book your dinner AND breakfast here - most restaurants nearby were closed in the evenings when we were there. Be warned, though, it is a steep climb up/down into the shops. The breakfast was simply... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights as part of our travel to Tokyo, Mt Fuji and Kyoto. This ryokan was definitely one of the highlights of our travel to Japan. The location is excellent on a hillside with a view of the lake (but not Mt Fuji) from both the bath and the rooms. The walk from the bus... More

1/ We paid for 3 adults even if we were 2 adults and 1 baby. It was a definitely a mistake but the staff recognized it but didn't correct it! Such a shame! Of course the baby didn't eat the adult dinner and it was a waste! I notified that we were coming with a baby on booking.com but it... More

This is more than just a place to stay near Mt Fuji. We stayed here for a night on the recommendation of a Japanese friend. We wanted a night out of Tokyo near the Gotemba outlets. She insisted we should stay near the lake for the view and the option for some sightseeing (just an hour by bus from the... More

This was an extemely beautiful hotel. The rooms were very spacious with a beautiful view of the lake. The best part of the hotel was the private hot spring soaking tub. There really wasnt much to do around the area, but who needs to do anything besides soaking in the spring pools. Also, their shared spring pools were great. Although... More
