A lovely welcome and all staff were incredibly helpful. We were picked up and dropped off at the train station (very much appreciated in the snow!) I was travelling with 2 couples at the time, and we all booked the Japanese Style room. There was no difference in price between single and twin share, and at 10,000 Yen a night, was an expensive night's sleep on the floor. The rooms on the 3rd floor also seemed much larger.

My girlfriend and I spent one night at the Royal Hotel on our way back to Tokyo from Kyoto on a recent trip to Japan. Kawaguchiko is a sleepy little town on the lake shore which appeals to anglers and nature enthusiasts. We simply wanted to relax an unwind for a couple of days between big cities.
