This hotel may need some refurbish but it is clean and really worth the price. We booked the hotel for 2nights and we really had a good sleep at the hotel. On the 2nd day the hot water is not working and hotel actually changed us into another hotel and we were so grateful by their service. It's walking distance... More

The hotel was quite an old hotel and seem like haven't renovated for a long time. The room I have was a Japanese style room ( Ryokan ). My room view towards Fuji lake and quite a beautiful view. Furniture was old and a little bit dusty. But the room was warm enough for winter. And the staffs was good... More

I think this is the 1st hotel in fujikawaguchiko. Even though it looks old but it doesn't smell stuffy. Food is good and ambience is so comfy. They provide free wi-fi at lobby. This hotel is facing Kawaguchiko Lake and they have an observatory floor to view Mt. Fuji. Overall, We loves everything with this place.

This place needs a good renovation. The furniture was old, everything looked tiredtired, couldn't buy breakfast in the morning, overall, a pretty poor hotel for a lovely part of the country. Didn't spoil the rest of my stay, but wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

After reading the other reviews I was a bit nervous about staying here but when I arrived I discovered it really wasn't that bad. Yes it's old and has a lot of wear and tear. But I didn't think it was dirty. The room was the biggest I stayed in in Japan so that was nice for a change from... More

I was very disappointed in this hotel. In looking at the listing on booking.com the hotel appeared to be very nice. Upon arrival I found this to not be true. The hotel was filthy from the hallways to the rooms. I'm fairly certain nothing has been updated in the hotel since the 1970's and it shows. Carpet is worn out,... More

I hiked Mt. Fuji and needed a place to stay so i booked Kawaguchiko Hotel. The images online looked adequate and when i arrived it was so gross i can't put it into words. I would NOT allow my kid to even be on the floor. Our room had dirt everywhere and the walls were covered in stains of gods... More

I have to say that after reading the reviews, I was very nervous about choosing to stay at this property. BUT, after seeing all other hotels in the region with a view were over $400 AUD per night, we were left with very limited options. As we arrived before 3pm, we took a taxi from the train station as we... More

We stayed in Japanese style room for one night. The hotel did provide bicycle rental. You may cycling around Lake Kawaguchiko and a little bit far away for foods and convenience store. The onzen in the hotel located at 4th floor, its very quiet and need some cleaning i suppose. As can see many spider web and spiders busy around... More

To Be Honest, I guess the hotel hasnt renovated since its opening. The Hotel has opened for 65 years. You can guess how bad is its design. The hotel must renovated as soon as possible. However, the scene and the catering is above average. You can see the Mount Fuji Clearly from the hot spring area(of course you must watch... More
