We stayed at this property last week and had such a great time! Staff is extremely helpful and welcoming, they came to pick us up at the station. The lobby is just stunning, warm, decorated in a vintage mountain style....and lot of Christmas decorations! We stayed in a traditional Japanese room overlooking Mt. Fuji (which I believe they all do)... More

It was my first time travelling to Japan. Ryokan is one of my wishlists for staying a night there. Mizuno hotel fulfilled it with warm and welcome I felt since I walked in the lobby on the rainy day. The room was nice. I could experience Japanese style room. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to see Mt. Fuji from... More

We booked a Japanese style room and reserve dinner as well. The room is clean and quiet and the most important is you can see Fuji mountain just at the balcony. The hotel location is a little on the hill but there's shuttle bus you can take to the station and when you arrive kawaguchiko station, they will pick you... More

So we arrived via Osaka on JR. Train at Shin-Fuji station and jumped on bus which took 2 hours to get to the local village and Mizuno Hotel. Quite surprising as we didn't expect such a long bus trip from the Fuji station particularly as it was quite late but anyway just something to be aware of if coming from... More

It's about 5mins or less away by a taxi. You wouldn't want to walk there from the train station with your luggage because of a steep slope. Their great service started the moment my taxi arrived at their porch. Our luggage were carried and we're escorted to the front desk for check in. I booked a smoking room as there... More

Comfortable ryokan style bedroom, good location, beautiful views. Like it or leave it, the hotel styles and ambiance feels vintage like the old mountain/seaside stations with plenty of small decoration items, european paintings, a patchwork of materials, old wooden bar counter, each floor seems to have a small sofa area/terrace to relax and slow time gazing at Fuji. Courteous staff... More

We reserved triple sharing Japanese bedroom via Booking.com. Therefore, reservation was easy. I followed up with direct email to the hotel requesting for more information about accessibility and whether they could assist to make rental car reservation for us. The response was fairly quick with good English. Unfortunately they couldn't assist with car rental. That was a bit disappointing since... More

Ok - there is this spectacular view on Mt Fuji on a clear day and friendly staff in the restaurant. However that's it! It is one of the worst hotels we ever stayed for the following reasons: 1. At check-in we received a long list of common sense "DO NOT..." - well, we know to behave 2. No assistance for... More

Firstly the view from this hotel: Oh my God! Unbelievable. This is probably the strangest hotel I've ever stayed at, with its various poky living areas full of art work, books and eclectic furniture. We stayed in a Japanese style room and it was fantastic. Would really recommend this to anyone happy to sit and sleep on the floor. Otherwise... More

The Mizuno hotel is reminiscent of a grand hotel from yesteryear. The moment you walk in the door you feel like you've inadvertently stepped foot in a hoarder's basement. The hundreds of pictures on all of the walls, which followed no discernible theme, were good to pass the time as you wandered to the trippy lift. The room was similarly... More
