My friend and I stayed at Mizuno hotel for two nights during the last week of august 2014. We picked this hotel as it gives easy access to the bus that takes you to the 5th station of Mount Fuji which is the start of the climb to the top. The hotel overlooks the lake Kawaguchi and offers a nice... More

This is our 2nd time staying at Mizuno hotel (first time was in July 2013). Kawaguchiko is a great area for getting away from the overcrowded city and to get some fresh breeze. The hotel itself is classic and famous for its spectacular view from every room with balcony. Despite the price which sometime costly, our stay was pleasant. Staffs... More

Well, the view is great,as many Said, but the hotel has seen better days...feels like 80:s. We had japanees tatami rooms, the walls are quite worn, need really renovation. The bathroom is one off the prefab plastic ,not reallt charming...The food is ok, service hood ,Nice staff. Bit - not value for the hight Price. We would warm recomended make... More

The best thing about this hotel is the spectacular view from the room balcony, over looking Mount Fuji across Lake Kawaguchi. The japanese style room is very cosy but run down. Free wifi, tv, air ioniser, fridge, hot & cold drinking water, basic toiletries & hair dryer are provided. The ambience of the lounge & restaurant is great. Free public... More

Great balcony with views of Mt Fuji. Unfortunately though, the beds are small by European standards. Fitting two tall people on a double bed like that is a challenge, especially with a spring base that soft. It felt more like a water-bed and was quite uncomfortable. All was a bit outdated, too. Would LOVE them to renovate (maybe they have... More

The Fuji view is great and right from the room. The hotel would be difficult to reach after dark, so I'd recommend getting a taxi in front of the station (about 900 yen). Or else you can take the retro bus, especially if you're getting the two day pass, there's a stop right at the bottom of the hill. The... More

We had a wonderful view of Mt Fuji from our japanese style room. The same view can also be seen from the onsen. Our dinner of sukiyaki was yummy and so was the breakfast the next day. It is better to take meals at the hotel as it is situated high on a steep slope. It will be exhausting to... More

A beautiful cosy hotel with Japanese family room that fits 5 of us. The hotel staff are friendly and speaks good English. The country style interior proves a homely feel. There is reading room, a bar, a pool table, a soccer table, a fire place & restaurant at level one. It is a great place for relaxation, peacefully & tranquil... More

At this hotel expect to pay more for the view than for the room itself. The traditional Japanese room was ok but a remodeling/update seems needed. Amazing is the hot-tub on the roof where you can bath staring at Mt. Fuji.

I had a lot of trouble trying to decide what to say about this hotel. Decor of lobby etc very much a mismatch, shabby chic? Bathroom tiny to be honest not fit for purpose but. Ok for a couple of nights drinks at the bar were well priced and barman very chatty and had a lot of tips about the... More
