we spend one night in a Japanese Room without Breakfast, Location and how to get there: The hotel is 2 km away from the Kawaguchiko Station on a small hill. You can walk , take the Bus, Taxi or use the "Pick-Up Service" of the hotel what is the easiest and cheapest way. We arrived very late so no bus... More

We went there for one night only with the purpose to see the Fuji mountain and Kawaguchi lake. The hotel is on a hill, a couple of kms far from railway station, tough to be reached by walk if you have luggage. The position is excellent, all the rooms (I believe) have sight to the lake and to Fuji, some... More

We stayed here only for one night. The receptionist understands english perfectly. There is free shuttle provided by the hotel from kawaguchiko station to the hotel. We chose rooms with traditional japanese bed setting. The room is huge, each room has its own balcony. There is also shared hot spring bath separately for male and female. The toilet is quite... Inside the hotel is a collection of art, books and heritage furniture. The restaurant has delicious food with spectacular views of the lake and Mt Fuji. The hotel's facilities include a very comfortable library, roof top spa and tradition Japanese baths. The rooms are comfortable, clean with views of the lake and Mt Fuji.

Out of all the hotels I have stayed at - this one would have to have the most amazing view. From our balcony you looked down on to Lake Kawaguchiko with Mt Fuji looming in the background. So beautiful. We were lucky that the cloud lifted and we got to experience this most spectacular sight. The hotel itself is quite... More

This hotel offer you a traditional japanese room with tatami and futon. They offer a hot spring too (or they called Onsen in Japan ; sorry if I mistaken). But the hot spring it's not too clean. Well, I'm not quite sure what it is, it's such a pollen or anything else, but when I'm there, there's a dead bug... More

The view from the hotel is outstanding and there is good shuttle service, these are the only things good about this place. It looks, feels and smells old! Everything is used and dirty, we had the most expensive breakfast in whole Asia ever.

The hotel is a quiet and serene place to have a great peaceful trip to Fujikawaguchiko. Pretty centrally located while visiting the various tourist sites around Kawaguchiko and Saiko. My family stayed in the Japanese styled room sleeping on the sleeping mat on tatami. It was a first experience for the family and we utterly enjoyed that. The staff are... More

I have stayed at many hotels worldwide and all thanks to Trip Advisor, I've stayed at many nice hotels too.. But.. This is one hotel that failed to live up to my expectations.. And although I had many many happy memories of my visit to Lake Kawaguchkio, I unfortunately cannot rank my stay at Mizuno amongst one of them.. However... More

So the reviews you read here that basically all note the quirkiness of this hotel are not wrong, but I'd like to add that I think its quirkiness is what makes this a great hotel to stay at in this area. Fujikawaguchiko reminds me of Kinugawa Onsen where we stayed a week or so ago, they are both places where... More
