Plan to take a short hiking on mt. Fuji 5th station and a bike tour around the lake, but all failed due to the rain on the day we arrived and then snowing the next day. The hotel has great view of the lake, one day in the rain and the other with snow capped trees, great experience. Open hot... More

We arrived in the evening. The check in was fast. We'd booked the room from internet. We're shown our room and it was very lovely. We had view of the lake clearly. The room was spacious. Even though there were 2 adult plus 1 toddler plus big pram and a luggage, we could still move around easily. They had prepared... More

I was looking for a ryokan(traditional Japanese) style hotel in Kawaguchiko area with either a view of Mt.Fuji or an open air bath with the same view, and Kasuitei Oya had rooms with Fuji view -so I was quite happy with that. Early April is usually when prices in this area can go up pretty high because of the sakura(cherry... More

If you plan to visit the Mount Fuji area, this hotel is a good way to experience traditional Japanese sleeping, dining and bathing. The rooms are Tatami style, with low tables and chairs, but clean and well maintained. While you are having your dinner, the staff converts your room into a sleeping area by setting up bedding on the floor.... More

I strongly recommend to stay over in this hotel for several days. The experience of living in Japanese way is awesome. You have the hotel rooms designed in Tatami style where you have living room and bedroom in a room. The bathroom is divided into 3 section: shower with bathtub, toilet room and wash sink area. Although the bathroom is... More

They are quite strict with the checkin time which is restricted at 3pm. We reached around 12.30pm and leave our luggage with the reception and went out to venture around. When we got back to the hotel around 7pm, we were shown to our spacious, non-smoking room on the 4th floor and was given a room overlooking the mount fuji.... More

I don't usually write reviews, but this will be my exception. Travelling in a group of five, we booked this hotel on agoda.com one 2 rooms 2and 3 people. The hotel has great views of lake kawaguchi, we were fortunate enough to have adjacent rooms overlooking the lake through these very large glass windows. Amenities of all sorts were provided,...
