Stayed at Fuji Ginkei for a night over a weekend and booked the Japanese Style room. The room had an amazing view of Mt. Fuji and has a small balcony. Other than the view, it is very simple and nothing fanciful. The shower & amenities provided were also very good. Surprisingly, the futon was very comfortable and had a great... More

I stayed at Fuji Ginkei for one night. The view of Fuji from both the room and the rooftop onsen was brilliant. Unlike hotels on the other side of the lake, this one looks across the lake to Fuji which is the view you want! If you are lucky and the water is calm, you will get the quintessential Fuji... More

We stayed here for one night but our room was not the best view. It was a Japanese style room but was #3 and on the left were the balconies of other rooms - therefore, not a 100% panoramic view of fuji. I was VERY disappointed of this and thought this was bad advertisement on their part. People go to... More

I stayed at FujiGinkei for 2 nights, and I really enjoyed the stay here. The staff were always polite and the food was great. I highly recommend all future guests to order food for 2 reasons. 1) There aren't many food options in the area. 2) The staff put a lot of dedication to create a very delicious meal for... More

Beautiful, new, modern & well-maintained hotel with a great view of Mount Fuji, Lake Kawaguchi & cherry blossoms from the rooms! A gem in the heart of Lake Kawaguchi!!! I personally enjoy staying at Lake Kawaguchi, a whole lot more than the more commercialised Hakone! Great service from Iwagami San who patiently tried to answer all our queries and accommodate... From Shinjuku, we took the Keio Highway Bus to Kawaguchiko. Journey took 1h45m and costs Y2,600 pp. We approached the Tourist Office (left of the Station) to request their assistance for Hotel Fujiginkei's complimentary transfer. Driver promptly picked us up and within 10 mins, we were @ Fujiginkei. We stayed 2 nights and paid Y34000 (half board) for the first... More

We have made several trips to Japan and have experienced Hakone. So we thought we would try the other side of Mount Fuji. We took advantage of the discounted JR East pass and this is one of the suggested trip on the JR East website. We took a limited express (Kaiji) train from Shinjuku and changed train at Ozuki. The... We spent one night there during our 5-day trip. Fujiginkei offers free pick-up at Kawaguchiko station. Just call the hotel front desk to notify your arrival. The hotel staff are friendly and polite. For foreign visitors, the staff will help introduce the room and facilities in English. The room we chose was a Japanese style tatami room (including 2 meals... More

If you wish to experience 100% Japanese culture then a stay in a Japanese style room at this hotel is a must! This hotel is charming, the staff are most friendly, the food is exceptional, and views of the lake and Mt Fuji are exquisite. The hotel shuttle-bus will collect you from the station and is also available for other... More
