We stayed here after our climb after Mt Fuji. About 10 mins from the bus that takes you to Mt Fuji 5th Station. Friendly staff, very helpful after my wife injured her toe . Execellant rooms with great view of Mt Fuji over the lake across the road. Great view from outside onsen tub of Mt Fuji. Excellent teppanyaki dinner... More

We used our two night stay at Kukuna as a bit of a recuperation break after touring the south but before we hit the craziness of Tokyo. On our arrival we were greeted by one of Kukuna's most friendliest, cheeriest and possibly the best English speaking staff member, so we were off to a good start. We booked the Japanese... More

It is a very nice hotel. The location is located in one of the best spot to see Mt. Fuji. Stay at ryokan with a good view to the lake and Mt. Fuji was a very interesting experience. Enjoying onzen which also has a good view to Mt Fuji was also a great moment.

I stayed here one night during my trip to Japan last year. We had a room with a spa on the balcony and a view of the lake and Mt Fuji (which we could not see when we arrived) We also had dinner and breakfast included. Neither my partner or I speak any Japanese and it wasn't an issue, the... More

Booked the hotel from online travel agency, that's mean we are not from group and we have flexible time to travel in kawaguchiko. After checked out on time as hotel's policy, we started our day trip until 4pm and left luggage at hotel. When we came back hotel and waited for other members to leave, need around 1 hour. Hotel... Kukuna was not our first preference of hotel but because we booked late, this was the only available one amongst our choices. The room turned out to be excellent with a full view of Mount Fuji. Though it was a bit pricy, considering that cherry blossom had still not set in, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Staff did not speak... More

I decided to treat myself with a posh hotel, with the view on Mt Fuji, room per night was almost 6000 JPY We didn't get change to see the Mt Fuji, but this wasn't the hotel's fault, cuz it was a rainy. It took us more than half an hour to check in and understand what they wanted to tell... More

Expensive but the view from the hot tub makes it worth the expense. Mount Fuji looming over the lake never looked better. Kukuna is a large resort style hotel which seems to have a Hawaiian theme going on. The "resort wear" isn't your usual Yukata, although that is also available for wearing in your room, but a loose fit smock... More

My review does not reflect a stay here. Rather, a draconian policy that resulted in us booking elsewhere. I called the hotel trying to make a reservation for two nights later. We wanted two rooms. One for two people and one for a single person. I was told that single guests could not stay. According to the website, they had... More
