Rooms are of a reasonable size and as expected in Japan scrupulously clean. Beds are very comfortable. Unfortunately room information is not in English making it possible to read any information. In addition there are no English channels on the TV. Breakfast is good and plentiful. The hotel does not have a loungeroom where a refreshment could be enjoyed. All... More

Room was large and mostly modern. The beds were hard but in Japan they seem to be that way for most of the hotels. The bathroom was fine but could use some updating. The onsen there was lovely! Well worth doing. They had a beautiful little garden outside for one of the onsen pools – very private but relaxing. It... More

We got the room with a bit of the kawakuchigo lake view, which is not bad. Unfortunately, all fuji view rooms were not available!! However, the hotel has this panorama lounge on 6th floor which shows the majestic view of Fuji san. Regarding the hotel location, it was far from the kawakuchigo station, which is considered center of everything there.... More

The hotel is located next to a beautiful lake and lush forest - truly a breathtaking spot. The only downside is it is a bit of a way out of town - about a $10 cab ride from the Station. There is a basic gift shop in the lobby, but I recommend stopping at Lawsons before you arrive at the... More

We stayed in the Japanese style room here, which is perfect for what we wanted. Tatami mat floors, futon mat beds, paper wall partitions, and an excellent nights sleep. We got up at 4:30 to see the sunrise over Fuji from the viewing area on the top floor, which was very cool. There was free in-room wifi, and free parking... More

We got the room which was facing Mt.Fuji and it was a spectacular view to wake up to. However the hotel also provides a paranoma lounge on the 6th floor to view Lake Kawaguchiko and Mt.Fuji. Onsen at the hotel was very nice as it had an outdoor section. However the onsen itself was nothing special as it was a... More

We stayed in August 2014, The rooms felt old, as did the rest of the hotel. The on site restaurant was interesting but not worth the cash. Th gardens are fantastic, and the best part is there is a guy wakeboarding club out back - not related to the hotel. Without a car we felt stranded at the hotel. I... More

Stayed last night for one night with our tour group. The room was very nice, roomy and clean. The breakfast buffet food was good and had a nice selection of western and Japanese selections. The onsen was okay, but no indication of any minerals in the 3 pools on the women's side, one being outdoors. I would stay again. The... More

The concierge service is so-so. The dinner at the restaurant was costly but we didn't have any other place to go. The hotel was located quite a distance away from town centre but we had free shuttle every half an hour. However, the traditional Japanese room we had faced the grand dame directly. What a treat!
