We stayed in August 2014, The rooms felt old, as did the rest of the hotel. The on site restaurant was interesting but not worth the cash. Th gardens are fantastic, and the best part is there is a guy wakeboarding club out back - not related to the hotel. Without a car we felt stranded at the hotel. I... More

Stayed last night for one night with our tour group. The room was very nice, roomy and clean. The breakfast buffet food was good and had a nice selection of western and Japanese selections. The onsen was okay, but no indication of any minerals in the 3 pools on the women's side, one being outdoors. I would stay again. The... More

The concierge service is so-so. The dinner at the restaurant was costly but we didn't have any other place to go. The hotel was located quite a distance away from town centre but we had free shuttle every half an hour. However, the traditional Japanese room we had faced the grand dame directly. What a treat!

Located on lake Kawaguchiko, this hotel offers a traditional ryokan experience with a breath-taking view over mount Fuji. Recommended for the view, if you want to travel around the lakes and/or the village maybe opt for another hotel: Fuji View is a little isolated, though taxi services are available at all times. If you want to have dinner in the... More

Things you need to know. 1. This is a lovely hotel with a beautiful setting and garden. 2. It's 5km from town or 1km from a convenience store. It's over 2,000 ¥ taxi to town/train station. So not really near anything or easy to get to. 3. There are beer and ice cream vending machines on site and a small... More

The front of the hotel faces Mt Fuji and, if there is not a difference in price, you may want one of those rooms. However, the rooms on the back side of the hotel have lovely views as well. I would not pay a premium simply for the view. However, I recommend you request a room with a balcony. Most... More

We stayed here to see Cherry blossom and Mt Fuji. The hotel's garden was a really nice surprise with plenty of blossoms to see. The staff were friendly and helpful, they even let us take our robes home when we asked. The Onsen was also nice to relax in. Breakfast was a nice mix between western and Japanese buffet.

The hotel has a nice view of Mt Fuji and their garden is quite nice. However, we find that there isn't any eating place or entertainment nearby. Though they provide shuttle bus to the Kawaguchiko station we found this quite inconvenient. For those who prefer more mobility for sightseeing and easy access to shops, we would recommend the hotels along... More

I stayed there two weeks ago and was not the least bit impressed. First off, the web page photographs do NOT properly depict the hotel. My room was very out dated and I swear that the carpet had not been cleaned in since the place was built :-). There were large dark stains in the carpeting and it had not... More

This hotel has very nice grounds with Cherry Blossoms all over. The best part is the direct view of Fuji from rooms at the front part of the hotel. We got lucky with this but worth asking. I did not realize how good the views would be. However the hotel itself is past its best-before date. Needs a renovation badly... More
