Stayed here for a few nights. Was told it had been recently refurbished but so many things wrong. Went over some filter in bathroom that was missing. Rooms very small. Wont visit again. Manager was outside having a smoke. Not a good image.

When I arrived the hotel was closed - ie no one was on reception and hotel door was locked. (A basic requirement for a hotel is to be open!) As travellers may want to offload luggage before requiring a room. The bare minimum is having staff available, even in the most basic hotel and so this one failed miserably.

This budget hotel is well located. The sheets were crispy clean and although old everything was maintained - showing obvious signs of repair over the years. The floors were just plain dirty. They need an easier surface to clean in the halls, rooms and stairwell. (There are no lifts) The bathroom is a tiny prefab affair that works quite well.

We stayed here because it was cheap but it wasn't the most pleasant place. It was convenient but the hall carpet was dirty and smelt, the carpet in the room felt dirty underfoot, the towels smelt a bit musty, my pillow had the stuffing coming out of it like someone had chewed on it. I previously had stayed with Formula... More

Good location handy to Sydney airport. Shuttle bus service to pick up and drop off . KFC and McDonald restaurants around. Small clean rooms with comfortable beds and TV. Recommended for a short stay or stopover between flights

We stayed at Budget Ibis for three nights. One bonus is that it's very close to quirky NewTown on the outskirts of Sydney Central. Management were also friendly and helpful. Our double room had a wet room, television and air-con but was very small, cramped and dark, included breakfast just consisted of cereals and toast and the CBD is a... More

Our room is tiny, smelly and noisy. The noise comes from the airplanes that are flying directly above the hotel and also from the very old A/C. The room smells like sweaty feet, the mirror has black stains all over it and the toilet still had stains from the guest before. You get only one pillow, which is very small.... More
