The owner is an amazing warm and welcoming hostess however there is much TLC needed to upgrade what could be a booming business. What is advertised as a 4 star accommodation should actually be a 1 star rating.

Location not far off the main route. We were very warmly received by Vivien and her son Lincoln. Our stay was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was good. Recommended as an overnight stopover en route to the Wild Coast!

We stopped over on our way to the Cape and found maiden head to comfy and roomy. The rooms are a decent size with comfortable beds and soft linen (always a plus form me - I despise scratchy sheets), it's a short distance outside of Queenstown so if you like the country feel then this is good stop!

Had the opportunity to visit Queenstown for a business trip and stayed at Maiden Head Lodge. Vivien went out of her way to make my stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. There was a problem with the water in the room I was first given and when I enquired about it, she had no problem to move me to... More

Had a good stay. Good value. Some maintenance and cleanliness issues such as slow flow of water in the shower, paint peeling off at the bottom of room walls, cleanliness and maintenance of toilet bowl/cistern and the bathroom in general.

I recently stayed in Maiden Head and was very impressed with the Service Quality. I had a bit of trouble finding the venue but the owner was very helpful in directing me. The price were a bit on the high side but well worth it.

The bedrooms are well appointed: the bed was huge, we had excellent pillows, which is very unusual, as most B&Bs have pillows that should have been replaced several hundred visitors ago. The bathroom was large, with double basins and there was a bidet, which is the first one I have seen in a South African hotel. There were three other... More

The reception was warm and welcoming. The rooms were neat and in great condition. The food was lovely. The location was great. My children enjoyed playing with the dogs and playing in the large garden. Great value for money
