Beautifully restored and renovated chateau pretty much in the middle of nowhere but easily accessible from Budapest The train from Budapest to Sturovo takes about 1hr 20 and then a 8 km taxi ride. On the return there was a problem with the train line and we took a taxi all the way to Budapest for 40 euros. The village... More

enjoyed a 4 day stay in November. Room was large and lovely with nice bath/shower. A little disappointed with the food as we wanted to try more local, traditional dishes and the hotel restaurant specializes in more gourmet cuisine. For a wonderful local tour guide ask the hotel for Maria, free-lance guide who speaks fluent English, can give great history... More

First, I would like to apologise, that I could not choose a correct date of my experience. I did not get a time to sit and to write the review earlier. So actually, I spent in this hotel 1 night in August 2013. We, me and my baby, were guests at a wedding of my good friends. The hotel was... More

Nestled in the hills, this magnificently restored Chateau transports you back to another era of decadence, taste and beauty. The service was tremendous. The food and wine were divine. And the grounds were spectacular. I still dream of the rose garden. It is rare to be able to say a stay is faultless but this was. Bela is not to... More

We attended a wedding at Chateau Bela in June 2014 and had a magical weekend. The setting is beautiful, with lovely grounds and surrounding nature. The hotel itself is full of charm, and the staff pleasant and attentive, making our stay very special. This is a unique setting for an event, a weekend getaway or even for a visit in... More

The bathrooms are new and spacious and the bathrobes are the best! The decor throughout the hotel is tasteful and elegant. The food was also delicious! As was the... More

Stayed at Chateuau Bela for three nights. The room was extremely comfortable and spotless. The staff were impeccably trained and made our stay effortless. The park and building are stunningly beautiful, but still managing to make one feel at home. I will definitely go back!

I have had the pleasure of staying here twice. This is a magical place to go, with friends, family or as a couple. The grounds are beautiful, the service is incredible, and the staff is very friendly and the food is VERY impressive. The view from the rooms is so peaceful. It was truly a luxurious few days, and only... More
