We visited the Fouriesburg area for two days whilst checking out accommodation in Lesotho, we managed to coincide our visit with Mothers day and the Fouriesburg Country Inn was packed for lunch. We had to visit Clarens for lunch and returned to the hotel later that afternoon, Mike and the guys and girls could not have been more helpful from... More

what a quant and enjoyable place to stay. the pub is very cosy and comfortable and the food was excellent. the rooms were all brilliant and very well kept/made up. id recommend stopping here to anybody travelling through the Free State. the Country Inn makes a lot of "Upmarket 5 star hotels" look pathetic in comparison. Thank you to the... More

We used the Fouriesburg Inn as an overnight stop on the Trans Afrika Bike Race. The accommodation is comfortable, clean, and safe. The food was just what the doctor ordered for the riders. Judging by the amount of people using the hotel as a base to tour the area we were right in our choice. The Town is only 10km... More

I ahve stayed here once a year over the past few years and it never changes - amazing people, great atmosphere, good wholesome food, good value for money. If you are ever in the southern Free State stop in

We had the pleasure of staying here over this past weekend on a bike trip...there were about 40 of us in the group and the service and friendliness of the staff would put many so called upmarket hotels to shame...it is a true gem of a place with the best vetkoeks I have ever tasted accompanied by a great lamb... We booked at Fouriesburg Country Inn for the weekend in order to make a day trip to Afriski. I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received and the quick check-in process which is so unlike the cold reception you receive when visiting hotels and resorts. The staff were friendly and went the extra mile throughout the 2 night... More

By far the best country hotel. Local cosine, 3 meals a day stunning accommodation. Part of a tour arranged by Fouriesburg country tours. The whole experience can only be described as Unforgettable ! Rooms are all individually decorated with antique furnishings.

Historic hotel (more than 100 years old) cosy atmosphere, with good local kitchen (though it was too much, I could not finish my platye). The Irish coffee is fantastic. However, I would redecorate the bar area, too dark, black painted walls etc. Would be nice if there would be a leaflet with the history of the hotel.

This old country-side hotel has all the trappings of the typical rural hotels (lots of steps and out-buildings), but once you have settled down, the small town hospitality overwhelms you.Nice food, very nice wine list.

My wife and I spent quite possibly the best weekend away ever at the Fouriesburg country inn. We had the privilege of staying in the ABW room (not the ABW room as I mistakenly called it, sorry Kobus). Too Beautiful, love the bay windows, the Oregon pine and I wanted to steal one of the Boer War Rifles off the... More
