This is an extraordinarily charming place set in the middle of an apple orchard - felt like the original Vicco Vajradanti ad when i plucked and bit into (crunch...!) an apple right off a tree! Quaint rooms, lovely Victorian lounge, outstandingly good food and a glimpse of the Nanda Devi - even the rain couldn't spoil this holiday! And oh,... More

This was my first visit to Sitla. The moment i reached I was in love with it. The initial stay was for 2 days however I extended it to 6 days. Vikram is a person who charms everyone. Sitla estate is the way it is because of Vikram. He is a wonderful cook and a great host. You will definitely... More

Vikram and his team provide the perfect sanctuary and breath taking views. Waking up to the sounds of birds and cicadas flowing into the room on a light mountain breeze is by itself more than worth the trek.

This was my second visit to sitla and hospitality is the most important asset they have. Vikram is a people's person who charms everyone from a teenager to a sepugetarian ,even great with animals. An excellent team supports him. Food is never repeated and ranges from kumaoni to continental. We stayed at orchard suites which are very airy and has... More

It was a wonderful experience. The rooms were beautiful, the food was superb, but the best thing was the warm hospitality. The children had a great time in the fruit orchards. Would strongly recommend it to all !

I stayed at Sitla in April 2014 with two friends, having been recommended it by a friend in Delhi. I felt very lucky that my friend and I happened to talk about visiting Uttarakhand when we met, as what a great recommendation it was. We were really looking forward to a few days in the hills and being away from... More

We visited this place when everyone was running away from Uttarakhand without realizing that the Kumaon belt was almost untouched by the horrible tragedy that took place in the Garhwal belt of Kumaon. The Sitla Estate was just wonderful. While inside the property you stare at the emerald green forest cover on the hills around you. We could see the... More

I've read reviews on Sitla of fellow travellers who fell for the charms of this place. Whatever you have read in the reviews,- the organic fruit trees, the breakfasts under them, the lazy afternoon picnic spreads, the pace, the views... it is all true. We spent 4 days there in hot hot May with my parents brother hubby and kids,... More

We had a great time at Sitla. The place is surrounded by 40 acres of fruit orchards, close to nature, very peaceful and of course beautiful. We simply fell in love with the place especially the ambiance. Vikram is a fantastic host and has an excellent team to look after the guests. This place is for those who really want... More

The location is unparalleled -atop a hill on a 40 acre orchard. It affords a beautiful view of snow clad peaks. In this season we could go for treks and walks around the area and eat fruit right off the trees. The ambience is classy and serene. The host Vikram Maira pays individual... More
