Serendipity can be great. Thought this place would be a quiet retreat to the hills with nice panorama of snow peaks; what this turned out to be a yearning to settle for life. We stayed at Magpie with great warmth, wonderful multi-cuisine food and the best hotel manager I ever met. Mr. Narendra Roy is special. He helped us do... More

It is a lovely resort with very good interiors and even better personalized service. The view from all the cottages is very good, but if one is physically fit, I would recommend the Eagle's nest cottage where we stayed. This cottage being the farthest from reception, the view was just breathtaking without anything to obstruct the Himalayan peaks. Early morning,... More

We spent three days at the resort in the last week of October. The resort is very well maintained, the rooms are cozy and clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the fresh air and the views on the Himalayas even though the weather was not as clear as we had hoped. From our cottage (Magpie) we... More

Stayed in a room called "Cuckoo", which has the best views of the Himalayas.Awesome weather ,very friendly staff and nice cosy rooms. Best part of the resort is that there are no tv's and network is also very restricted. Only wish the resort looked as astounding as the website. Drive to the Binsar wildlife sanctuary is a must, and if... More

We just loved this place tucked into the hillside of the Kumaon overlooking the valley with views of the high peaks of the Himalayas. The cozy yet spacious cottages are scattered throughout the property. Ours (Magpie) had it's own little stone deck to sit out and look at the mountains where we could read a book or have a complementary... More

A blissful place to stay. The management and staff were both very efficient and very friendly and the setting of the resort is spectacular. We stayed in Cuckoo Lodge which had views over the Himalayas during the day and afforded us a very peaceful and refreshing sleep at night. The rooms were spotless and there was complimentary fruit and home... More

We went to India in April 2011. It was too hot to go to Rajasthan so we decided to go north... and we were glad we did! Kalmatia Sangam has a beautiful location amongst the himalayan foothills. On a clear day you can see some white tipped mountains on the horizon. Very relaxing pace and attentive service. Nice cottages/rooms, clean... More
