Situated at about 7500 ft above m.s.l, it is beautifully located to offer one of the most amazing views of the Himalayan Range starting from left to right as Nanda-Ghunti, Trishul, Mrigthuni, Maiktoli, Nanda Devi, Nanda devi east, Nanda-kot, Dangthal, Rajrambha & Trishul and other pics of Nepal Himalaya (still searching for the name). Don't expect to enjoy the view... More

The KMVN TRH provides the optimum location for a stay in Binsar -- most of the trails and viewpoints are within easy reach from here -- as compared to some other resorts. The view from the terrace is spectacular -- provided there aren't any clouds to mar it. The rooms are average regarding size, cleanliness etc. Make sure you get... More

Ah, yet another sad story of governmental neglect. I stayed at this wonderfully located resort about five years after my last visit and found that not much had changed. And that's not in a good way. No upgrades, no new fittings or furnishings, even the basic bed linen looked strangely familiar until we laughed it off as impossible (Or is... More

When we planned our second anniversary, its decided to explore something new, close to nature and not frequented by visitors. Hence we dropped Himachal and chose Kumaon Himalayas. After reading all the available material, Binsar was a definite choice. We checked out other places but zeroed on TRH Binsar, cause its in the middle of Binsar Wild Life Sanctuary (... More

I have stayed at this property twice. Once in 2009 and once recently. I went with friends on both occasions. The location is superb nestled in between the beautiful Binsar Sanctuary. The terrace of the hotel provides a great view of the mountains and one should not miss the view of the sunrise from the terrace. It's a view to... More

This is a terrific place. You can trust the govt. tourist lodges to pick the best locations, and KMVN Binsar has done exactly that. But there is more to it, which makes KMVN Binsar a special place. Nice cosy rooms, very clean toilet, a spectacular terrace to enjoy the sunrise from and to watch 300 km of snow-covered peaks, very... More

Kmvn property is in the lap of Binsar. This is an old property developed by British ions before independence. The terrace of the property feels like touching the clouds quite often. There is no electricity in the night. The property is just adjunct to the wild sanctuary... I would say the sanctuary is more known for its medicinal plants. Good... More

Best place to stay in Binsar and best among all the KMVN tourist lodges. Staying and food and view all are too good. Strictly vegeterian place as in reserve forest and there is also schedule timing allowed to enter the forest. The roof top of the lodge is just awesome.

Stayed in June 2014 for one night. This KMVN rest house is within the Binsar wildlife sanctuary and is a 12 km drive into the sanctuary. The road leading to this rest house is narrow and broken at few places so people who do not have much driving experience in hills should avoid / take a taxi. Food provided is... More
