As most of the reviews mention, this place has no electricity, no frills and in the middle of the jungle. So if you are looking for a lot of adventure and happening place then this may not be for you. But if you are looking to get some peace and quite from your everyday life and hustle and bustle of... This place is ideal if you're looking to be in a place without the trappings of modern comforts, including electricity. Slightly old of construction but rooms are cosy and rugged and this happens to be one of the few choices to stay inside the sanctuary. There's no electricity except between 7-9 pm when dinner is served so forget about watching... More

Stayed here in 2014, Location wise this is the best and from price point of view cheapest available in this location(Sanctuary). you can go for a walk down the terrace or just enjoy view of Himalayan range from the terrace. Service is something you can't rely on. Also because this place is located in sanctuary they do not have power... More

This is a building under the care & control of the state administration & is therefore slightly run down. Being this remote & high up in the hills, there are bound to be issues w.r.t water, power, medicines, bad roads etc but there are solutions too which should be implemented. The place is powered through a diesel generator & gets... More

Excellent place in the middle of forest, far away from hustle and bustle of everyday life. No electricity, no noise, no pollution. Good rooms, helpful staff and good food. Ultimate relaxation place, all you can hear is chirping of birds. Beautiful 360 degrees of hills view.

We had planned a 8days Kumaon trip in the month of April and we had decided to start off with Binsar. From Kathgodam, we took a private cab to reach the TRH. The route was scenic raising our hopes. But unfurtunately, it wasn't. As soon as we reached the TRH, the manager told us that the water pump is blown... More

This is probably the most strategical location in Binsar to have the best possible himalayan view. However the cottages are nightmarish.....dark and claustrophobic like a prison cell....with no balconies. No electricity for the whole day except 6to9 pm. Food is average. Services are good. The stay is worth only because of the viewpoint and its nearness to the zero point.

I would have missed something in my life, had I not stayed in this hotel. Friendly ,dedicated staff with a neat and clean restaurant with tasty simple homely food is some thing to be remembered for ever.Sun rise at the himalayan mountain region , from the open terrace ,sipping a cup of hot tea is remarkable. No electricity is a blessing... More

This is the best thing about the KMVN guest houses, they are located at the most fantastic locations. This was also the same...awesome location you could get a view of the Himalayas. The terrace was nice to spend evening and sipping tea looking at the sunset in the snow capped mountains. The road is a little treacherous but worth it..!!!
