Cons: A/C temperature varies according to its own will. It was like a non A/C room most of the time. Staff is not cooperative and will hustle you if you don't bargain. After 8pm the staff are non existent. At no point will they give any kind of room service. Cleanness and ventilation Pros: Proximity to beach and view On... More

This is a budget B&B accomodation right on the beach. Room is pretty basic but clean and we enjoyed the terrace outside the room a lot! we were a little less impressed with staff, not the friendliest ever... Make sure you get what you pay for, our room rate suddenly turned out to be non a/c despite other inications at... More

The room was not very clean, with no towel or toilet paper when we arrived, but OK for a budget stay. The restaurant upstairs was very poor, by far the worst meal we had in nearly 4 weeks in India, and the prices were higher than they should be - 200 Rs per tiger prawn, cooked unimaginatively. Shoddy service, and... More

Budget price and on the beach front. Average for the price, rooms was OK but it could do with a bit of a clean especially the bathroom and the sheets and towels had a lot of stains on them although they smelled freshly washed. Have stayed in much cleaner brighter rooms for the same price but it was OK. Bed... More

This hotel is at the budget end of things. Room was clean enough for a few nights, but don't look too close. We had room 101 looking over the bay to the shore temple. The A/C does not work, the sink is not plumbed in, but sitting on the terrace drinking cold Kingfisher, eating freshly caught Red Snapper masala fried,... More

Booked the hotel online after a disgusting experience with other hotels around the area. Though booked online they did not provide the room in the building shown in the pic but in an annexe (jagjanani)a couple of houses away. I was politely spoken to and apologised (rarity in Mahab towards indians). The room provided was good, neat and clean. one... More

I started 3 weeks visit at India at this hotel at Mamalapuram. The location is great, on the beach which you can stand on the terrace and see as we'll as the Shore Temple which can be see clearly. I went out to the terrace to see the sunrise on the Bay of Bengal which was very nice. The room... More

Clean are provided and the lobby is cleaned every now and then. Its a stone's throw frm the beach, which also i found to be pretty clean. U'll get to... More

After arriving in Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram) early I had the opportunity to visit some different locations. Santana, owned by a former fisherman, has not only very nice rooms and a good location, but also a very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Just take a look and experience!
