This hotel is special , from the moment you enter up the wonderful satires entrance to the luxurious rooms, no they are suites, you feel like all the attention is for you. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble, definitely the best hotel we have stayed in and we have stayed in some really good hotels, if... More

It is an excellent place to stay for 1-2nights.The place was a real palace of a small kingdom and still there are interesting places in it like Durbar hall, sishmahal(mirrored dancing hall)and sultan mahal.Food quality is good specially in the fine-dining restaurant they have. But the variety of food was not good, though I must say that the staffs tried to make up... Having spent a few nights at the Samode Haveli in Jaipur we moved on for 3 nights at Samode Palace & the phrase saving the best till last comes to mind. We love Jaipur but it was a relief to leave the bustling city behind & arrive at the gorgeous Samode Palace. You come off the main road & through... More

If you are near Jaipur, and have 2 or 3 days to spare, this is the place to stay for a total chill out. Other reviewers have commented very favourably on the ambience, setting, local village, facilities, service etc, and I fully agree. The Durbar Hall and adjacent rooms are among the most fantastic heritage sites I have ever seen,... More

Excellent, very beautiful palace hotel which is in parts like a museum (you get a free tour). Food, staff, room: all excellent. (We got a free upgrade to a suite, so can’t judge other rooms). Two great pools, though we made mostly use of the upper infinity pool

You realise that you are in a very special place as soon as you arrive with the beautiful gardens leading into the palace. We stayed in a royal suite which is worth the extra for the balcony, views and size. It is the staff that really set the hotel apart, they are outstanding. Particular mention goes to Monty Yadau who... More

At the conclusion of our Sierra Club (now banned in India) trip to see tigers and the Taj, several of our tour group added a trip to Jaipur in Rajasthan. Our agent suggested a stop for the afternoon at Samode, where we had lunch at Samode Palace, which my wife and I felt the best of our entire trip. We... More

It was in September-2014, and on a special invitation from the Gupta family, that we drove down from Jodhpur and reached the Samode Palace..having been to Jaipur several times it was not difficult to reach Samode. The reception staff were quiet business like , offered cold towels and refeshing welcome drinks.I wonder how the groups are received here as there is not... I've stayed at Samode Palace a few times over the past years and it has never ceased to enchant me. The setting is wonderful - in a craggy dead end gully and totally indefensible were marauding hordes of tribesmen to descend upon it - watch the film adapted from the MM Kaye novel - The Far Pavillions - the hotel... Unfortunately, I only stayed one day at the Samode Palace as part of a Golden Triangle tour, on my own, completing the tour at the Samode Palace before flying out from Jaipur. A drive to what one would imagine was ''the back of beyond'' to a tiny village ''Samode'' and, at the end of the drive, going through the gates... More
