Returning from southern France we found ourselves stranded at St Amand-Montrond due to our cars alternator packing up ! Anyway guy at garage suggested this place and directed us there. They couldn't have been more helpful when they heard of our problem and made us feel very welcome over the two nights we stayed.Room was fine, small but comfortable and... More

Excellent food and accomodation, very friendly establishment in a wonderful setting. Very quiet overnight considering our room was at the front of the hotel (no road noise etc.). Would strongly recomend.

This is the best hotel in this area, bar none. Good food, and the finest in the region. Cozy, and a great bar, good food. You can't make a better choice. It has a good bar, meeting place, and most of all a happy owner that runs the hotel from his heart. So rare in this world, and worth the... More

Second visit to this Hotel on way home to blighty. Gave a favorable review last time (2 years ago) and was not disappointed again. As weather forecast was good for this area we set off early so to arrive with time to relax. Agree with previous that lakeside rooms offer best views but if only one night then not critical.... More

My son (11) and I stayed as a stopover up from the south coast on our way back to Paris. Easy to find off the motorway and on walking in was immediately struck by the quirkiness and pop music theme (nicer than it sounds). The room was comfy but was glad to be on the side that hadn't had the... More

I have reviewed this hotel before and it is still excellent . One small complaint. It desperately needs air con in the rooms. We are staying here in July 2013 and it is 30C and it is extremely hot. But still a great place to stop on your way from Calais to the South of France. We will however call... More

The appeal of the alleged 3-star status of the Noirlac Hotel lured me into driving an extra 25 kilometers from the equestrian competition I was photographing that weekend. It was a mistake. First off, the Noirlac looks like a nicely appointed roadside hotel, a bit like a Novotel could look, with a good sized car park. Things quickly change when... More

We were driving up from Avignon to Paris via the Millau viaduct. We chose this hotel because it is close to Paris for the last drive ( about 3 hours). We got of the motorway and headed into town and immediately fell in love with the real fighter jet mounted on a roundabout. A bit further on and we came... More

Very good hotel for a stopover from Channel Tunnel . Have already recommended to friends who have stopped 3 times on way to their property near Agde

This is not your Paris Hilton so with that said this is a great place to stay; Where these days can you go where the owner greets you at your table and is genuinely happy to see to your needs? The staff does not speak English well but hey - this is France, and their English was better than my... More
