It feels like sleeping in a museum !!! this is probably the most beautiful haveli in Mandawa, almost no need to see others. our room was huge and clean as well as our friends's, beautifully furnished with period furnitures, beds comfortable, large clean bathrooms and everything working well. Thanks for our driver we had an upgrade. The building is all... More

Beautiful quaint hotel, in an old Haveli. Intricately painted, furnished with period furniture (or replicas) it is really like stepping into a tale form the Thousand and One Nights. Do go for a suite, only a little more expensive, but the "normal" rooms are oppressively small, the toilet is actually in a cupboard so is the shower. Only go for... More

I was ill and bed-ridden for most of my stay at Mandawa Haveli so I cant comment on too much- it was a beautiful place with lovely frescoes. I think we got lucky with our room as it was enormous but some of the others we glimpsed were very pokey. Having spent most of my time in the bed I... More

We stayed 3 nights in this well-positioned and beautiful Haveli. The softness of the painted wall colours is exceptional and that includes the skillful renovation work. Several Havelis we saw have suffered strident and garish make-overs. It is a smallish and intimate space which we enjoyed. Other Havelis are larger and a bit bleak when few guests are present. The... Stayed one night here, lovely relaxed atmosphere and quiet town away from the hustle and bustle of other big cities. Georgeous old building and charming courtyard with pool and garden, simple rooms, a bit of an oasis. The staff were nice but the food service was slow, they were not set up to cope with a group dining at once.... More

Rooftop views are also fantastic as is just sitting in the inner courtyard looking around. The actual rooms were ok, a bit cold... More

We stayed here the first night of our tour of Rajasthan. It was like walking into a dream. From the outside, it looks like a very old building, but once you open that door....WHOA! It feels like stepping back in time. Our room was called "Nilesh", and on the second floor. There is a large central room with a king-sized,... More

No hot water, but at least got water bottles were provided without asking. Puppet show was unavoidable and rubbish, you're then forced to contribute without question. Food was OK but in a very inaccessible upstairs corner. Great views of you ignore health and safety. Nice to walk around the village.

After traveling around Rajasthan for about a month I find this is the best value for money I have found. Clean, comfortable, good food, friendly staff especially Rakesh the boss, a good source of information about nearby haveli. All in all a very good stay.
