Mud brick cabins built round like the shape of old herdsmen's huts were absolutely unique and wonderful. My amazing room was more like a suite - had a marvellous entry foyer with day beds decorated with local woven rugs and quilts, the bedroom had a massive sumptuous bed with colourful quilts, a dressing room and 2 separate bathrooms - one... The resort is within 5-6 hours drive time from Delhi NCR. The resort is nice but the suites, while being big in size do not spell luxury. Also there is no room service. Apart from this, it's a good place to relax. Food is quite alright.

Nice stay at Mandawa Desert Resort. Staff is very friendly and try to make everything as pleasant as possible to the guests. Rooms are very special, all situated in separate clay cabins. This sounds a little primitive but all luxury including bath, shower and airco is available. The site is a kind of small village just outside the town. Town... More

This is very unique accommodation, with rooms styled after traditional mud buildings. The rooms are large and comfortable. The property is attractive. The buffet-style meals were quite good. There is a nice pool on the property. Unfortunately, the staff ranged from indifferent to downright rude (front desk staff).

I was here with a friend to spend the weekend. Truly this place has nothing much apart from its deserted isolation. A one night trip is actually more than enough here. We stayed at the Desert Resort which was good - a village like experience with modern facilities. Rooms are nice...you feel like you are living in a supercool hut... More

We went during summers wherein there is a bit of renovation and less occupancy. It was probably a very good decision as we were pampered a lot by the staff and received all the attention like a noble. The pool is quite good and its a lovely breeze and views post sunset. Few Peacocks in the vicity add to the... More

We stayed here around mid July. As it was an off peak season, hotel was not much occupied and we were pampered by service. Our stay was made memorable with wonderful Rajasthani food. Since we were keen to have the local food, staff suggested us wonderful delicacies available in the season and then serve them as well with equal enthusiasm.... More

This is a nice resort with poor management. You can find lizard in the cottages, Dogs roaming around and drinking water in pool, hell lot of insects in pool, very poor response from service staff. Management in the resort are very arrogant. One day they arranged our lunch in Castle Mandawa, that was awesome. If you want a quite place... More

On a tour of Rajistan through Indus Travel of Richmond, B.C. Canada and Hi Tours of India. The Desert Resort consisted of mud construct buildings, looked quaint from the outside but the rooms were dated and again very, very cold at night, two space heaters for this one. Basically motel in a cottage setting. The grounds were nice and the... More

I had to pay for WiFi!! Hotel pretends to be top notch but is not succeeding in it. No cocktails. Bar, restaurant and reception not always occupied. Beautiful views and a great pool. Little quiet when we were there. Opportunity to take a run in the countryside. No tv in the room.
