Upon arriving at the hotel, the lobby is enchanting, the whole hotel is a feast for the eyes, however the rooms are average and the restaurant not so good, a little bit dissapointing also regarding hotel staff that could be friendlier.

It is a lovely haveli and the rooms are very nice. It has a beautiful interior courtyard that is very relaxing after a long day. Continental breakfast comes with the room but the staff is a little weird about you asking for anything extra, like more hot water for your tea. I was told it was not possible (rather sternly)....

The haveli is beautiful and very interesting to visit however the staff seemed to follow us around everywhere and ask too many personal questions and as we seemed to be the only guests there, this was just too much. We were surrounded by 3 staff members who were watching us eat. Back in our room after dinner, we didn't feel...

My mother and I shared the amazing presidential suite last week. It was freezing, and there was no hot water. We could not get heating or extra blankets, this is despite the cost being higher than our five star hotel in Agra.
Give this a miss and go on the much cheaper and better Hotel Mandawa Heveli in the next...

The staff at the reception and in the restaurant are really not welcoming and not friendly at all compared to the hotels we have been across Rajasthan. The rooms are very noisy and the electrical equipement is very old. They do not have wi-fi although the cost of rooms are really high compared to the other hotels in the area....

The hotel is very nice, beautifully decorated, with great rooms. The staff was otherwise quite friendly, but then they tried to charge 5 times normal price for a bottle of water. Dissapointing. Would not visit again.
It sure is hit-or-miss when it comes to rooms at Grand Haveli! The hotel itself is stunning, but our room was very dark, with not so many details and decorations. We did have a big bathroom, and it was a nice stay, but others in our group had beautifully decorated rooms. Food was good, be it a bit expensive.
We stayed here with a group of 8 fellow travelers (horse-riding across Rajasthan) on Christmas Eve 2012.
The property is interesting and the decoration of the haveli is pretty - there's a water-filled courtyard in the center - but the amenities are lacking. Our room was noisy (close to both the street outside and the courtyard inside), the bed lumpy,...

Nawalgarh is one of my preferred cities in the region (more than the neighboring well known Mandawa), unfortunately, you won't have much choice for a hotel.
The Grand Haveli is for sure a beautiful heritage property, however it is not what it is advertised on its website : "Every room has a traditional Jharokha where one can relax with the...

This is a beautiful hotel and the food is good. Waiting staff are also nice. But beware - no hot water (not such a big problem); and, more serious, if you book travel through them it will be an overpriced disaster. We spent 8 hours (!) on the road being taken to a place which is actually 3 - 4...
